This is a kickstarter so youāre making money off of this - and thereās some fairly impressive likenesses to real martial artists.
Please be careful with this. Projects got shut down for much less, and Iām totally looking at Shonuff in there.
That was one of my main concerns when I first saw this posted on the Unity forums so hopefully things will pull through in the end. Also, that glow of Shonuff was enough to have me sold on this project. I really do hope this gets funded and released. The best of luck to ya Jaelae.
Yeah the characters are parodies of the actual movie personalities. Parodies are allowed under the fair use law. If I get any warnings or anything I will change the character designs
Iāve noticed that the line between parody/homage and infringement is largely decided by how much people wanna sue. The Lee family and Jackie Chan seems okay with being cloned, but you never know how others may feel. The kicker is the money factor; the Kickstarter added complications (that the Hyper DBZ doesnāt have to deal with, for instance).
Very true it is a case by case basis the Lee family has definitely softened up their stance on parodies of Bruce Lee. I am prepared to edit and alter whatever is necessary. Sometimes it is as easy as adding a mustache to a character or adding a design on an outfit.
Mustaches make everything better anyway. Also beards.

seagal is a fcking bitch who cant fight for shit, better not to have that hoe in the game. Add an old characters like the last boss from the young master (the guy is a real shaolin master, he kicks some real shit and was gdlk in that movie). Maybe that capoera guy from tyg? ,that tae kwon do guy from the legend of of drunken master. Kareem abdul jabbar? Jet li from fist of legend (still the best ip man movie along with the bruce lee one, ip man 1 was also good but i cant stand donny yen in general, he was good in that movie though).
