I thought I would post this in regards to Sephiroth, not as a spoiler, but more of a “heads up”.
If you are expecting Sephiroth to be your level up method like it was in KH, don’t get too excited; he gives you zero experience.
And I made a post about the game being intentionally designed badly.
Any more obvious shit we need to say?
I finished the game a few hours ago; maxed out all my characters, and took on the final boss. I would have to say that it is one of the funnest, intense, and all around enjoyable final battle I have ever played.
By the way, the secret movie was REALLY interesting.
You can download it from youtube; it doesn’t spoil the ending, but you should wait and see it first hand before downloading it.
So…Master Form > Valor Form.
I just did a quick run through KH2 on Normal, beat the game in 21 hours. It was fun, though it starts off pretty slow. I like how nonlinear it is. I didn’t even have to see Simba OR his world. Heck I didn’t even unlock the gummi part to it. I also didn’t waste my time in the Little Mermaid’s world or Pooh’s. I just sped through it to see the story. Anyways, it was fun, and the last boss was really the only tough one.
All in all, the game is a bit too easy, and it’s because of the “Reaction” commands. It’s also kinda short… But then I didn’t play everything, so that could be it.
I’m going to try it again on Proud mode and try to get everything.
I really dig the story, surprisingly good for a game about FF characters in Disney world.
^_-;
I started on Proud because I had read it was too easy on Normal; I finished with a total time just over 53 hours. That includes me leveling up, unlocking all worlds, and doing most side quest, excluding the last two colliseum tournaments.
I foudn some of the boss battles to be tricky; to be honest, I died a few times fighting the first boss, last boss and had to retry a few in between.
Im currently playing KH again; if all goes according to plan, I’ll play Chain of Memories and then 2 after I am finished 1.
^^
What sidequests are there? I really haven’t noticed any sidequests and I’m 15 hours in and on Halloween Town. Also, Where do I get Magnet? I was kicked out of Atlantica and it said I needed Magnet.
Well, the side-quest are pretty meanial: Colliseum, Sephiroth, to be honest, I can’t really think of any else.;
Magnet is aquired by defeating one of the worlds; Sorry, I can’t remember which one.
Atlantica is a world where you have to complete it through out the entire game. You could wait to get all abilities needed. You don;t gain anything unless you complete the whole world.
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking those were the sidequests but I was wondering if there were other sidequests I wasn’t aware of.
I suppose you could count synthesis as a side quest; it isn’t necessary, and it only benefits if you complete it. Plus, you have to level up the Moogle.
What part are you at, 1?
I just got into halloween town after beating Port Royal. I’m a lvl. 24 and have only 2 forms. I’ll probably start doing some gummi ship stuff 'cause its fun. As for synthesis, I’m not sure what I’m doing with it really. I just give my items to the moogle and he makes stuff for me. I understand that you can gain the Ultimate weapon through synthesis correct? I’m going through this game slowly cause I want to enjoy it and I’m looking to get everything through my first run.
Does the underworld colliseum offer more cups to earn as you progress through the main story? I’ve earned the Panic and Pain cup and I went back and there and there still wasn’t any new tournaments. What do I need to unlock them?
WTF???!! If I beat Demyx and die in the next section, I have to fight him AGAIN?!! GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!
-Syn
(LMFAO)
Yeah, I beat Seph at level 84 myself. He’s not as crazy as he was in the first one, just have to keep on the move (Glide works wonders for this).
As for experience boosting, there is a much better way in this one than the old methods (aka the Coliseum and Seph). Note that I didn’t come up with this (been going around GFaqs and other sites) but I figured it’s a good idea to post it in this thread…
-Equip Gullwing and the “Experience Boost” and “Jackpot” abilities. Put Jackpot on as many members as you can.
-Turn off all of Donald and Goofy’s skills and set their attack AI to “Sora Attack”.
-Go to Pride Lands after defeating Scar. Get your HP into critical (aka when it makes that annoying beep noise) and DO NOT HEAL. This is how you get your EXP.
-At the peak where you fought Scar, hundreds of little bird monsters now appear, and reappear as soon as you leave.
-Lock onto one of them and repeatedly use Magnega. If your Magic is over 53, this equals OHKO, and very, very easy EXP. If not, you can still use Thunder spells or attack them, it’ll just take a little longer.
I personally leveled up from 80 to 99 in about 20 minutes, tops.
Xaldin was a bastard to fight, I BARELY beat him.
I think I’m getting near the end now…that dark city is starting to become more visible at the top of the map.
You can just go back and save man! it only happens once you fight xemas.
I’ll say that the game was a bit too easy even in proud. I’ll admit that a couple of boss battles I fucked up but once you figure out the reaction commmands. HA! it is so bullshit. The 1000 heartless battle was amazing though! aka Dynasty Warriors.
Is there requirements to get a special complete ending???
I know there was in the 1st KH.
you can just watch the ending on youtube or google video. its pretty goddamn confusing btw
Anti-Form is sexy. It sucks that you can’t do reaction commands or retaliate, though. And why does master form lack retaliate OR air recover? That’s just retarded. And I relly do need to start using magic with master form.
Yeah, do use magic in Master Form. Actually, use Thundaga in Master Form, to be specific. That kills nearly everything in sight.
As for Xaldin, I murdered his ass, even after going Anti during the fight. He’s not hardcore in the least. Now the Hades Parallax Cup, THAT is some BS right there. The last ten floors can give you nightmares on Normal mode, let alone Proud mode…and this is at level 99, with an Ultima Weapon. :wtf:
EDIT: Oh yeah, and Final Form + Firaga = death to anything within moments. Just thought I’d throw that out.
Yeah, I tried that trick Dragoon, but it wasn’t really to my liking; I used the sdame method but inside TWTNW and used a specific route.
The secret movie is confusing, but if it is what I expect, it’s going to make the 1000 heartless battle seem like a hiccup.
What do you have to fight in the Hades Parallax Cup?
