I don’t know if this was covered yet, but does Iori and Iori 98 share the same slot? Or will it be possible to have both of them in a team?

I think it would be Jenet though, seeing as she shows up in story mode; but I think the point of DLC characters is that they are unrelated to the story and simply there for fanservice.
Very impressed with SNK right now after noticing a lot of things in the beta version of KOF13 console, pre-ordered!
Could care less about spectator mode as it would surely cause input delay/lag online but i have real offline competiton anyway so yeah.
It’s probably B.Jenet if it is a character from Garou. Rock would be a surprise and instant money for snkp from a lot of people.(I still don’t understand where his hype stems from.) It’s so hard to tell who is going to be dlc cause there are so many popular characters in KoF. I do expect to see a couple of characters from XI though.
Atlus is going to be at Gamescom right? If so, think we will get some new info on XIII?

Played it at EVO and Otakon. But man…i’m proud of SNKP too[as someone else mentioned]. They really have a prize winner on their hands. I’m fully expecting this game to meet[and possibly surpass my expectations]. 2 and a half months better hurry up and get here! Just hope SNKP can take the scrunity and mad hate they’ll get once the game drops[just because, you know…there are ALWAYS those people that’ll whine and complain about things.] Woo hoo!! Omega Hyped

The one on the left looks like it is holding something. I’m thinking cards or flames, so I’m going to go with the former and say it is Oswald.
I have no idea who the one on the right could be.

Those silhouettes are so hard to make out, everyone says the one on the left looks like Oswald but I just can’t see it. For some reason I keep thinking it’s Malin. I can kinda see the right one being Adel, but really it’s pretty impossible to tell.
Unfortunately I’m thinking the dlc characters will be stuff like Ex Kyo etc. More hyped about finding out who the last console exclusive characters are that aren’t dlc.
Yeah, it seems that none of those characters from that story mode screen are gonna be in. I am disappoint:(
This is still my most anticipated fighter of the year though. Never got to play the series much when I was younger, but hey, better late than never, right?

I wonder what will be the competitive lifespan for XIII or should I hold out out till XIV or a dream match is available. Game is looking good, though.
I think it likely that XIV won’t try and mix up too much from XIII, after failing miserably with XII they’ve finally got something going here and have worked out the kinks with console XIII. Since XIII ends a story arc they might make XIV a dream match (though XIV was one too) that would let them put Ash and Saiki in it (considering the time it takes to make those HD sprites).
So I’d say that XIV will be further refinement to XIII, XV will be where they try and mix things up again (for better or worse; track record so far with 99 and 03 has been worse).
Greetings! Long-time KoF player here. I’ve skimmed the thread for more in-depth info on this upcoming title and I have a question after reading several posts:
Has anyone whose talked about how great KoF XIII is or how SNK has finally “got it right” actually played the console version yet? I would just like some actually testimony from a player (preferably one interested in gameplay/fighting aspects) whose had some time to sit down with the game and possibly even has previous KoF experience (ex. 98/2002/XI) rather than a random user whose only values throughout the series have been Mai/Yuri/Iori/Busterwolf and online play (which has already caused them to label XIII a “great game” before even getting their hands on it). I’d appreciate it, thanks!
