Please read THOROUGHLY. This will not ONLY take place on GGPO. It will take place on 2DF however GGPO and p2p are the other options we have just in case someone can’t connect to someone else.

I am really sorry about having to bow out of losers without even a fight like I did, but over the past two weeks or so since the '98 ranbat was announced, I have tried basically all of the FAQ troubleshooting tricks and solicited input from at least half a dozen different people, but I’m still unable to host on 2DF and the emulator won’t even load for me in GGPO. I am increasingly suspicious that many of the things I could change to get a permanent solution lie in the hands of the shitty ISP for my apartment complex rather than on my end. So rather than hold things up trying desperately to get some form of connection, I decided to speed along the inevitable and bow out with dignity.
If nothing else, I’ll keep up '98 casuals as my schedule permits (I really don’t know about other SNK games, but I have always liked '98, taken it fairly seriously, and would like to become at least a little better at it), but I really don’t know that I’ll be able to fully participate in future ranbats/tournaments unless by some miracle I resolve my hosting/GGPO issues. If any of you are unconvinced that I have tried everything in my power to solve these problems, and you think you know the solution, feel free to PM me or hit me up on AIM (screenname: benreedlives). I am usually available late afternoon and evenings.
So…what is the random game going to be?
