I was kidding about sucking. Stop getting so caught up with qualifying your play with saying how much you suck. You’re at the level you’re at and as long as you’re trying to improve then things are fine. Putting yourself down can work against that mentality even if it’s just joking around. My two cents.
That said I’m going to beat everyone who said they suck in this thread. Guaranteed.

Honestly I’m not that familiar with ranbat point systems, otherwise I would.
I don’t know how it works with the double elimination format but points should be given to the top 4/5 placers. What I’m not sure is that whether points should be given any wins before the placings or not.
1st:-10pts
2nd:-7pts
3rd:-5pts
4th:- 3pts
That’s reading a little too much into it, I think.
I don’t say I suck to try and excuse the fact that my skill at the game is less than others. I say it mostly as a gracious sign of humility, a signal that I don’t think I’m hotter shit than I actually am. I recognize that I tend to lose more than I win against people with a better grasp of the game, but when I hear “LADYYYYYYYYYY GO”, I put that aside and I put my full concentration towards thinking and reacting.
As for joking around, I believe the fact that I joke so readily about these games and my experience with them is the reason I still continue to enjoy them even as I get older. If I wasn’t able to so readily laugh about my hard-drinking mercenary brawler or my scantily clad ninja babe getting killed by a Korean midget cosplaying Freddy Krueger jumping repeatedly over my head, I’d probably end up throwing my peripherals at the screen.

I dont understand how the whole 2df/ggpo thing works. Are they seperate things? etc which one are you all using?
Yes, 2DF and GGPO are separate things. The platform we’re using is 2DF HOWEVER if both players can not host on 2DF, they can play via GGPO or NFBA p2p. All of these programs are pretty easy to use. Just read more dude.
I will sign up, assuming I can consistently connect to EFNet. I’m still working that shit out and I’ve tried all the quick fixes I could think of/find with Google.
