Now, in 1999-2001, SNK created a new storyline, the NESTS Chronicles starring badass K’. I think the storyline was not as great as the Orchi Saga and I want to ask all of you what you would have done storyline wise during the NEST Saga. I’ll tell you my storyline later.

Custom Storyline
Prologue:Orchi was defeated by the Tr-Sacred Team(Kyo, Iori and Chizuru). After the huge climax between Orochi, Kyo and Iori, Iori and Kyo wasn’t seen again. Shortly after, a cartel entitled NESTS captured the bodies of Kyo AND Iori and cloned both of them. They took DNA from both fighters and injected them into children that they had captured. One child that was injected was K’. K’ was stripped of all of his memories thanks to NESTS and was captured to be a part of “testing”. He got injected with Kyo’s DNA. K’ soon defected the NESTS organization after seeing the multiple clones and being sickened by NESTS. While defecting, K’ took a 14 year old chestnut hair girl who has ice powers(Kula). During that defection, Iori and Kyo escaped as well. NESTS leader Nests soon announced the King of Fighters 1999 Tournament, this time, four teams each, in hopes of gainning more fighters’ data in order to make more clones in their plans for “world restoration”.
K’ and Kula soon met Maxima, who wants to destroy NESTS as well for the same puposes as well as avenge the loss of his friend Rocky. Their forth member of their “Hero Team” would be an assassin named Lin, who seeks to kill the traitor of his clan(Hizoku), Ron, who joined NESTS for personal gain. Meanhwile, Kyo once again reunited the Japan Team with Goro, Benimaru and Shingo even in hopes of destroying NESTS and get answers on why they cloned him. Iori recruited his team. First, he hired assassin Vanessa, then managed to make Yamazki joined and somehow, made Eiji Kisaragi join his team(remember, Iori assualted Eiji ad Billy after KOF 95 when those three where the Rival Team). The Yagami Team’s purposes was also to destroy NESTS and kill Kyo Kusanagi. Heidren recruits Whip to join the Ikari Team in order to capture the Hero Team to find answers on NESTS. Hell, even Geese summoms the Outlaw Team with Billy Kane, Mr. Big, Krauser and serial killer Freeman in order to finally kill the Fatal Fury, mainly Terry Boagrd. The stage was set for a blockbuster KOF tournament!

Next Post, the results! Comments on my custom storyline/teams. Yeah, I put some Garou characters in plus some other to make my custom storyline feel “new” since it’s a new arc. Plus, the timeline of KOF compared to Garou are out of wack like for instance, Geese hired Gato to join the Outlaw team in 2003 and Gato was fighting ten years after Geese died so, saying Geese hired Freeman wouldn’t be a problem. Also, if you have a better idea of a storyline or teams, post it here! And as I found out, I posted this on the wrong section, but, I’m new here.

1999 Tournament Results
First Match:Yagami Team Vs Psycho Soldiers Team:Pure domination by the Yagami Team as they destroyed Bao, Kensou and Athena. Chin hung in, but one Maiden Musher by Iori onto Chin landed the Yagami Team the victory and becoming a strong favorite to win this year’s KOF!
Second Match:Hero Team VS Korea Team:Kim degraded Kula, Maxima and K’ for being “evil clones” due to the connections between the three to NESTS. K’ of course acted all gruff and everything. Anyway, an exciting matchup here. Jhun Hoon’s tricky kicks were no match for the silent threat in Lin. Kim defeated Kula and Maxima, but it was K’ who defeated the remainning three members to get an upset in the minds of the fans.
Third Match:Japan Team VS Women’s Team:The Women’s Team dominated Shingo(poor Shingo), but pure domination by the Japan Team.
Fourth Match:Ikari Team Vs AOF Team:An evenly matchup which saw the AOF squeak out a win!
Fifth Match:Fatal Fury Team Vs Outlaw Team:The Outlaw were the underdogs, but their gave the Fatal Fury Team one hell of a brawl. The Outlaw were on the verge of defeating the FF team, but thanks to a lack of teamwork, one Power Geyser was all it took for the Fatal Fury foursome.
During the second round, the Japan Team departed from the tournament, leaving them DQ’ed. Sensing that they were approaching the hideout, Nests summons 100 Kyo clones to greet the Japan Team and make sure they don’t enter the building. Also, Heidren now ordered the Ikari Team to secretly follow the Hero Team.
Second Round Match 1:Hero Team Vs Fatal Fury Team:The Fatal Fury Team was the favorites here. An instant classic between these two teams. Kula couldn’t stop the ninja skills of Mai, but Maxima finished her off. Joe’s Muay Thai couldn’t withstand the offense of K’ and soon, it was the Hero Team Vs Terry! Terry eliminated Kula and Lin, but the duo of K’ and Maxima hammered on Terry. Terry managed to KO Maxima, but using all of his strength. But still, he showed why he is called the Legendary Hungry Wolf as he continued to battle K’. They battled like Heavyweight Boxers until Terry was the one who went down, surprising the crowd again!
Second Round Match 2:AOF Team Vs Yagami Team: This is the reason Eiji really joined, to kill his rivals!Another evenly battle. The Yagami Team’s Vanessa and Yuri really went at each other. Yagami of course defeated Robert, as Eiji pulled all the stops to kill both Takuma and Ryo. However, he was unsuccessful in that. Yamazaki went down to Takuma, not before losing to Iori. Although Ryo fought, Iori defeated Ryo with a new move, Saku Tsumagushi, to get the W!
Iori convinces his team to ditch the finals and head to the NESTS hideout base. The Hero Team goes as well, not knowing that the Ikari Team is right behind them. Nests soon realizes this and summons more KYO clones mixed in with Iori clones. The KOF tournament is considered finished! Now, the NESTS is under pressure!
The Japan Team arrives first, quickly spotting the Kyo clones, which they easily defeat. They enter Section A of four section of NESTS’ building. While they do that, the Yagami Team arrives outside of Section C. Iori is disgusted at the Iori clones mixed in with the Kyo clones. As the Yagami Team dispatches the clones, the Hero Team arrived outside of section B, when K’ tells the people who are following them to show their face. The Ikari Warriors’ cover becomes blown as they appear before the HT. Whip soon realizes that K’ is her brother, but still, the Hero Team and the Ikari Team brawl.
Back in Section A, as the Japan Team looks for the owner, a man’s voice is here. Suddenly, Zero, a member of NESTS, stands before the invaders and begin to fight. Zero easily handles Shingo(AGAIN!) while Damon and Benimaru give him a fight. Kyo advances forward, believing in his team to handle Zero.
In Section C, the Yagami Team meet Nameless, a clone with both Iori’s and Kyo’s DNA injected into him. Iori tells the rest of the team to find Nests and leave him alive so he can kill him as he fights Nameless.
Ikari Team and the Hero Team engaged in intense, non-stop fighting until the Kyo and Iori clones surround the eight fighters. They work together to defeat the clones, put their differences aside and enter Section B. Soon, NESTS member Ron attacks the group. Lin tells the teams to go on since he’s waited a long time to kill Ron. Ron and Lin then fight while the two team go into Section D, while Nests is residing!
Zero brutally scars Damon to the point pf that he life is in danger. Benimaru quickly reverses the table and uses all of his electronic power to defeat Zero, thus fainting himself. Kyo makes his way into Section B.
Nameless and Iori are battling. Nameless has wounded Iori and Iori has wounded Nameless. This fights ends when both men tries to Maiden Musher(since Nameless has both Kyo’s and Iori’s DNA), but Nameless does a Maiden Musher/Serpent Wave. Those two special powers defeated Iori as Nests’ son Igniz takes Iori back into the lab.
Iori is put back into a chamber full of scientific experiment, surrounded with other bodies of soon to be clones. Kyo manages to find the lab and asks Igniz for answers. They fight, for a lengthy time until Kyo defeats him and then reluctantly rescues Iori. However, this was short lived as they engaged finally in a one on one fight!
Both the Ikari and Hero Team reach what is like an inside battlefield. There do they find Nests. K’ quick temper snaps and attacks Nests. Before landing a blow, K’ first clone Krizalid stops him and Krizalid faces all eight members of the Hero/Ikari Team. Krizalid is successful in defeating Ralf, Clark, Leona, Kula. Nests reveals that Whip is K’s sister and that Whip is a clone herself. Nests soon presses a button that reads, Explosion Five Minutes. Maxima, K’ and Whip try to capture Nests, but he escapes to Section B.
Nests tries to scramble by running in the lab, only to met up with a fighting Kyo and Iori. They quickly shift their attentions and they to kill Nests. Nests summon all 100,000 Iori and Kyo combined to distract them. Kyo and Iori fight them off and are soon aided by the Hero Team. The Hideout begins to crumble, Nests tries to escape. He is stopped by the rest of the Yagami Team and soon, K’ fist. Nameless is luckily there to fight off the seven fighters as Nests escapes! Lin and Ron are still battling, Benimaru saves Shingo and a dying Damon from the building. The Yagami Team manages to escape the building, Lin escapes as well, seeking revenge on Ron as he vanishes with the rest of NESTS, but the 100,000 clones collapse on Kyo…3…2…1! BOOM!!!
The NESTS hideout is dead, no NESTS members are seen. Every fighter as escaped the explosion except one…Kyo. Kyo is noweher to be found. Kyo…IS DEAD!
2000
Prologue: After the aftermath of the NESTS invasion, Kyo Kusanagi is presumed dead. A memorial in Japan is soon held but Benimaru and Shingo believe that Kyo is still alive, somewhere. Goro is taking a break due to almost dying thanks to Ron.
Meanwhile, Iori is irate that he arch-rival is dead due to the hands of NESTS and seeks vengeance.
The Hero Team(Maxima and Kula) and the Ikari Warriors Teams have reached an understanding and both try to take down NESTS. But K’ doesn’t associate with them claiming that he hates being restricted and hate being ordered by others. Heidren threatened to arrest K’ for being an accessory to NESTS if he doesn’t take part and still, K’ tells Heidren, “Do ask you want”. Lin also turns down the idea of an alliance. Whip then tries to make her brother joined their alliance and K’ said, “I do what I please. I don’t need your persuasion, even if you were my sister or not”. Lin only wants to kill Ron, who will compete in this year’s tournament! So, the Hero Team and Ikari Team still formed an alliance, just without K’ and Lin. But K’ seeks his own vengeance, his own memories, his own way of dealing with the issue at hand.
NESTS have their second hideout and are glad that Kyo is dead, even though 100,000 were blown apart. So, they made more clones and they hope the Nameless, their main clone, can capture their next targets Iori Yagami and surprising Kula as they want to re-program her into a killer with no emotion or remorse. The King of Fighters 2000 is announced and Nests forms the NESTS Team, consisting of Ron, Nameless(main clone), his son Igniz and Zero. Nests plans to destroy Earth will a beam he calls “The End of Humanity” Cannon. Thus gainning Iori and Kyo’s enegry mixed in with galaxicaltical elements, if activitaed, ten millions people will die instantly and their planes for new order appears to be in the final stages!
Benimaru hires Blue Mary to investigate the missing/presumed dead Kyo as well as investigate the NESTS(also, to inform Terry Bogard as well) Benimaru gets Souji Kusanagi (Kyo’s cousin with a dark secret from King of Fighters:Kyo) to join his team, hoping to avenge his “fallen cousin”.
Iori keeps the same team except for dropping Eiji in favor of Jin Fu-Ha, who Iori promised to help him get his revenge on Eiji for his scar of his chest.
Billy Kane, ordered by Geese again, forms the Rival Team and reunites with his old teammate Eiji in hopes of killing both Iori Yagami for A that attack in KOF 95 and B, Eiji feels that Iori didn’t help him defeat the Sakazakies last tournament. Billy is also still wanting the Fatal Fury’s heads as well as keeping tabs on NESTS as Geese finds NESTS “a distraction in his plans to rule the world.” They will be with Sokaku Mochizuki(a man who wants to destroy the Shiranui clan) and Krauser(Geese hired him again to destroy the Bogard).
Since Takuma is taking a break, Ryo allows his protege Khushnood Butt replace him! Kim’s two sons along with Andy’s protege and Terry’s protege and son of Geese Howard make the New Generation/Garou Team led by Rock Howard. With all the new fighters(Nests insitited new fighters for this tournament) and teams, this should be one hell of a tournament.

Comment on this year’s teams, storyline and what ever. Yeah, I know my plotline is messed up compared to Garou but it really doesn’t matter in the world of King of Fighters. Like I said, a new arc means a new generation or new era of fighters! Besides, there are many people that want Jin Fu-Ha ,Khushnood Butt, Rock Howard in the KOF lineup so, I gave you what you want. I tried to keep as many teams either the same or close to the same time from 99 that way for example, you know King with be on the Women’s Team year in and year out. I mean, KOF could have really done many things for a Garou Team instead of B. Jenet, Gato and Tizoc in XI not saying I dislike those three characters. Hence my Garou/New Generation Team has all Garou members(plus, I’m a Garou fan). I think people might bag on me for the Rival Team. A, the name, B, the lack of chemistry. At least in the Yagami Team, their styles and personalities really mesh together really good, the Rival Team however, to me, it’s like mixing ice cream with ketchup, good separately, horrible together. I’m really proud about how the Yagami Team has developed. Iori of course doesn’t really like the whole idea of teammates and if you notice his teammates, Yamazaki is a ticking time bomb, Jin Fu-Ha is a ninja and Vanessa is a assassin, all of them are usually used to being alone(not really Vanessa but still) there’s chemistry. Maybe better chemistry then last year’s Yagami Team? Who knows. The whole idea of bringing another Kusanagi to fill in the gap for Kyo not being in the tournament was hard. Although Aoi would have been good(Kyo’s cousin from KOF:Kyo), I though Souji would be better. 2000 Tournament Results
This was a different type of crowd for usual KOF tournaments. Fans couldn’t image a KOF tourney without Kyo Kusanagi, but that’s the reality. The reality, by now, everyone knew NESTS was responsible for the death of Kyo and people have soon despise and fear NESTS. Still, people were cheering for this year’s tournament, dubbing the tournament, “The Rebirth” since Kyo is dead.
Match #1:Hero Team Vs Women’s Team:To the people in attendance and around the world, K’ has gained the nickname, “The Second Kyo”, much to the dismay of K’(K’ never liked Kyo). Anyway, the Hero Team dominates for a victory here.
Match #2:Fatal Fury Team Vs Korea Team:A great battle here. Terry and Kim battled like old days in Southtown. Andy defeated Jhun Hoon and Joe defeated Change. Kim and Choji fought back, but the Fatal Fury Team got the W!
Match #3:Yagami Team Vs Benimaru Team:An interesting match here. Iori of course degraded the Kusanagi name, igniting a spark inside Shouji. Blue Mary acknowledged Vanessa as an old friend of her former lover Butch. Anyway, a very even battle. The quickness of Jin-Fu Ha ran circles around Shingo, eventually defeating him. Although Yamazaki dominated Benimaru, he’s impatience and all action, no thought style eventually led to his downfall, allowing Benimaru to defeat him. Iori and Shouji had an intense battle as well as Vanessa and Blue Mary. Yagami uses a new move, the 400 Crescent Slice(my own creation, basically, Iori goes on a 20 hit flame throwing barrage) that defeated Benimaru. A first in the KOF tourney was that the match ended in a draw, both teams advance to the next round due to time constraints.
Match #4:Ikari Team Vs Rival Team:Ikari Team wins, nothing much to say.
Match #5:Psycho Soldiers Vs AOF Team:Not bad of a performance for the Psycho Soldiers Team, but the AOF was too much to handle.
Match #6:NESTS Team Vs New Generation(Garou)Team: The people were booing the four NESTS officers here, but also wanted to see the “Future King of Fighters” in the Garou Team. On paper, this was a huge mismatch and a mismatch it was. The speed of Hokutomaru was no match for the brute strength of Zero, Kim Jae Hoon’s fire kicks was no match for Nameless Yagami and Kusanagi flame combined. Rock was dominated by Igniz and Kim Dong Hwan was handled by the speed of Ron. The NESTS presumed that the match was over, but the Garou Team, beaten and all, continued to fight. They fought back, even though not succeeding, but kept coming back for more. Howard turned the momentum with a surprising Raging Storm on Zero’s armor, thus breaking it. The Garou soon build a comeback and it looked like they were going to pull a huge upset; until Nameless goes in his second state(Nameless is held back, in his second state, his full power arises). Soon, Nameless dominated and with help of the rest, they win. The Garou Team however, receive a standing O after their performance and show why they are dubbed, "The Future Kings of Fighters)
During the second round, Heidren informs the Ikari Team about the Twelve Pillars of NESTS(Zero, Igniz, Ron, Nameless, female assassins Foxy and Diana, an Iori clone named Trinity(male), Kusanagi, Krizalid, Candy Diamond(rival of Kula Diamond, controls water), Igniz’s wife Misty(research/informer) and Nests himself. He continues by saying Nests is close to activating his cannon and plans to stop him himself. Also, Saisyu Kusanagi invades the main lab of NESTS headquarters, looking for Nests in order to avenge his son’s death. He found Nests, along with Diana, Foxy, Krizalid and hundreds of Kyo and Iori clones. Saisyu finds himself surrounded and tries his best to fight off the ambush. He destroy a lot of clones, but Diana and Foxy stabs Saisyu in the neck with a needle injected with a chemical that kills all powers for a short period of time. Saisyu is defeated and is taken into the lab.
Second Round Match 1:Yagami Team Vs Hero Team:K’ and Iori met for the first time. Iori calls K’ “another worthless clone of Kyo”. K’ taunts Iori, telling him to bring it! Maxima and Yamazaki duke it out, while the boxing Vanessa squares off against the icy powered Kula. A battle of speed between Lin and Jin Fu-Ha commences and what a battle in was. Iori and K’ went back and forth, left and right. Maxima defeated Yamazaki as Vanessa somehow defeated Kula. Lin and Jin-Fu Ha went to a draw as they used all of their powers and energy for nothing. Finally, it was just K’ and Iori. Iori hit a Maiden Musher, but K’ stands on his feet. They continue to go left and right until K’ gains an upper hand. When he has Iori for the kill…HE FOREFITS!!
He states that he hates KOF tournaments and really could care less about this one. He then declares to NESTS Team and Nests that he will be the one to end them. Lin then tells Ron to fight him right now. Suddenly, sleeping gas are thrown on the ground and everyone goes to sleep except the NESTS Team! Two hours later, everyone wakes up, seeming to be just fine. When they realize, one member of every team is kidnapped!(Garou:Rock, Fatal Fury:Mai, AOF:Yuri, Ikari Team:Leona, Women’s Team:King, Benimaru Team:Shingo, Hero Team: Kula, Rival Team: Billy Kane, Psycho Soldiers: Athena, Korea Team: Kim) The Yagami Team escaped before getting hit.
Meanwhile, on the big jumbo screen in the arena, Nests’ face appeared on the screen. He stated that he borrowed a member of each fighting team. He states that they will witness the end of humanity because he is about to fire off his cannon. Before he fires off, he states to K’ that his parents are dead thanks to Krizalid and Zero. K’ tries to leave the arena in anger, but the super Iori clones stop him. Also, it was revealed that Maxima’s friend Rocky was killed by Igniz and that his body was in a chamber, waiting to be a part of another cloning project. Plus, Nests states that a dawning of a new era will begin and there was nothing no one could do.
Enraged, K’ uses all of his strength to pass the Iori clones, followed by Ryo, Kim, Benimaru, Lin, Kula, Robert, Terry, Blue Mary, Shouji Kusanagi and Benimaru. The Garou Team(except Rock), Andy, Joe, Maxima, the Ikari Team and Khushnood Butt stayed back in order to face three Pillars of NESTS;Kusanagi, Candy Diamond and Trinity.
Back in the second NESTS headquarters, Nests begins to torture Saisyu be brutally attack him with multiple clones. Heidren soon appears and helps Saisyu. But he is met by Igniz and they commence to battle in the main lab of NESTS.
Nests soon goes to his main office and aims his cannon to the moon, planning to hit the moon. Suddenly, K’ appears and Nests is like a trapped rat! Krizalid soon fights K’ after being summomed. Terry, Benimaru, Blue Mary and Shouji fight off Diana in the huge computer room. Kula and Kim find the captured fighters and frees them.
The Yagami Team waits outside for their time to strike when Nameless meets them. Iori tells the rest of his team to deal with him as he enters the modren warfare inside.
Back in the arena, the people have left as the Three Pillars and the left behind fighters brwl. Eventually, the Three Pillars are killed off, forever!
K’ and Krizalid are going at it until K’ finally kills the first ever K’ clone, then seeks Nests again.
Nests escapced with his cannon and now is in a big, secret room. The next thing that happens to Nests was unexpected. Ron was in the room and pounced on Nests, his boss! By using his poison control skills, he injects posion in the neck of Nests! Ron explains that he pretended to be a servant to NESTS when really, he was luring Nests to his trap. He then says that he true purpose was to use NESTS to capture the Bloodstone, a stone used in the cannon and when activated, the person gts immense power. And Ron wants to rule the world himself and found that Nests was in his way. But he knew he couldn’t do it alone and that’s why he got in the ear of Zero(loyal to NESTS) to help him as well. He had convinced Diana, Foxy as well to turn on Nests. As he leaves Nests to die, Lin arrives, but Ron tells him next turn, he’ll be stronger and to prepare for their final battle. Ron gets the Bloodstone from the cannon and disappears suddenly.
Zero, Diana, and Foxy help Heidren defeat Igniz as they take all the fighters’ DNA and vanish as well. K’ finds a dying Nests and finishes him off. Everyone except Nameless, Igniz and Misty are the only surviving memebers of NESTS and they escape as K’ and Iori burn the headquarters with Nests inside!
All the teams appear togther outside and watch the building burn into the ground. The Yagami Team quickly leaves. Nests in dead, but Heidren says that Ron, Zero, Diana and Foxy turned on him and gathered all off NESTS’ resources and doubts that NESTS’ problem is solved. Suddenly, K’ feels a sensation of pain. His powers begin to go awary and then, he coughs out blood. Whip manages to heal his brother, finding that K’s powers have been tampered with acid! Lin then states that only Ron used acid to tamper K’ power before escaping. He explains that the acid used is a forbidden move from their clan and it’s use to eat the person from the insides. Lin tells K’ that the acid will kill K’ cells and kill him. That acid sucks the powers of the host and when the host is dead, the person that summomed the acid usually extract the acid out of the host and use it for evil tensions. That’s why the Hizoku is in ruins, because of greed. K’ shouts out vengeance before fainting!
Nests is dead, but the threat of Ron remains. What does the NESTS traditors plan to do now that they have everything in place. They hold all the cards now. They control everything NESTS owned. 2001
Prologue: NESTS is completely dissolve thanks to the betrayal of Ron, Zero, Diana and Foxy. Every NESTS Pillar died except for Igniz and Nameless. Ron stole the Bloodstone and NESTS’ cloning stuff and soon, built his own place(similar to NESTS). The four traditions thus called themselves The Rebellion and their plans for world domination is imminent. Ron then hosts the King of Fighters 2001 Tournament in hopes of getting rid the Hero Team, the only team that can stop them of their evil plans.
Meanwhile, the acid in K’ grow worst and worst. Although Lin got the acid out of K’ system, the acid destroy the cells in K’ left arm (glove in right hand), making that arm basically dead. Now a one armed man, K’ seeks vengeance as him, Lin, Maxima and Kula plan to finally end the NESTS/Rebellion!
Iori meanwhile shifts his focus of K’ since NESTS is dead to his eyes. He plans to kill the “last remaining Kyo clone” and thus, sports a new look also. His red hair now is red with black streaks in it, his navy blue shirt is now white with the Yagami crest in the back is black and those white and red pants are now white and black. He regains all of his teammates except Jin Fu-Ha since JFH wants to kill Eiji on his own terms (leaves Iori on friendly terms). So, Iori told Vanessa to hold a tournament featuring the best fighters in the world, winner joining his team. The winner was Rick Strowd, a Native American boxer. Now that his team is set, Iori seeks out K’.
Geese, seeing a perfect chance to eliminate NESTS and resume his plans for world domination, joins alongside loyal right hand man Billy Kane, Mr. Big, and Krauser. And the American Sports Team makes their return with an up and coming wrestler “The Griffin Mask” Tizoc.
Since Jhun Hoon still has lingering injuries from last tournament, Kim decided to add on of his sons to be on the team. So, Kim Jae Hoon defeated his slacker brother Kim Dong Hwan to become the forth member of the Korea Team, thus leading New Generation Team leader Rock Howard to chose a forth partner… The Masters Team is formed composed of Heidren, Chin, Takuma and Saisyu Kusanagi as they sense another “evil wave” coming. Athena joins the Women’s Team as well as Blue Mary. Mary still has connections to Terry and Benimaru(developed a crush) about the NESTS/Rebellion conflict and still investigating the “mysterious death” of Nests. Damion returns to the Japan Team led finally by Benimaru.

2001 Tournament Results
This tournament had a weird feeling about it. Also, this tournament must have a winner since the last two didn’t. So, here we are, once again at another KOF tourney. Old and new faces surface this tournament, some fight for money, some fight to promote their dojos. While some fight for personal reasons like pride, world domination and even revenge or maybe, seeking answers about their past. Bottom line is that this is the King of Fighters, a tournament of blood, sweat and screaming fans chanting your team in victory inside the KOF Stadium in Japan. Only one team can stand alone on top. Who will that be?
Round 1 Match 1:New Generation Team Vs American Sports Team:Rock Howard revealed Li Xiangfei as his forth member at the last second. The"Future Kings of Fighters) showcased their skills, but the Sports Team rallied back. At the end, Rock’s Raging Storm did the trick to gain an upset win! Terry and Kim were impressed with the team and then, the team exists the stadium for tournament requirements.
Round 1 Match 2:Yagami Team Vs AOF Team:Robert is in need for cash as his business is quickly tanking. The fans were surprised by Yagami’s new look, but hey, he’s Iori Yagami. A great battle for a rematch from 1999. Boxers Vanessa and Rick Strowd showed their boxing skills. But the Kyokugenryu Karate masters hold their own and even defeat Yamazaki and Strowd. However, Vanessa and Yagami finished strong, thus earning a win! The team exists the stadium for tournament requirements.
Round 1 Match 3:Women’s Team Vs Korea Team:Choji and Change were hypnotizes by the Women’s Team and thus, lacked focus and lost. Kim Jae Hoon impressed people as well and although they were close, they lose in the first round again.
Round 1 Match 4:Fatal Fury Vs Boss Team:Talk about bad blood. Terry proclaims that Geese would died right now. An evenly match battle here. Billy and Andy went back and forth, the lovely Mai however was man handled(literally) by Mr. Big. When it was set and done, it was just Geese Vs Terry and Andy. The fans knew what Geese did and were on the edge of their seats. Geese soon enters a state he has never been seen by the public, Nightmare Geese. More powerful and quick, Geese easily defeated Andy. Then, it got better. Finally, Terry Vs Geese! What a heavyweight battle here, but Terry was too angry for his own good. For once, Terry let his emotions get the best of him, thus giving a win for the Boss Team!
Round 1 Match 5:Japan Team Vs Ikari Warriors:A great battle, but the Japan Team won. Simple as that!
Round 1 Match 6:Hero Team Vs Masters Team:Both teams want to put an end to NESTS deal. So, the Masters showed their elderly wisdom while the Hero Team showed power, speed and reckless. K’ and Heidren soon were the final two standing. There’s history here as K’ doesn’t like Heidren, while Heidren wants to arrest him for not helping him destroy NESTS. But, K’ won and so did the Hero Team!
Outside the arena, the six winning teams soon find out that they will fight all of Japan for the next round! The fans get to watch too.
Round 2 Match 1:Korea Team Vs Boss Team:Outside the KOF arena, Kim’s “sense of evil” amuses Geese and taunts him to try to stop him. Kim Jae Hoon tries to defend his father but Geese quickly ended him with a Raging Storm. Choji and Change surprising left Kim and finally escaped from him(FREEE AT LAST). So, 4-on-1. Kim defeats Mr. Big and Krauser, but not Geese and Billy Kane. Boss Team dominates again!
Round 2 Match 2:Yagami Team VS Japan Team:Iori states that he will kill “Kyo’s little friends” in this battle outside an arcade store(bringing back the 95 stage here!). Shingo of course got dominated and Damon defeated Rick Strowd. The bad blood between the Yagami and Kusanagi grows deeper as Shouji and Iori duke it out. Iori wins with another new move, the End of Times(combined of Maiden Musher and his other new move 400 Crescent Slice) to win for his team.
Round 2 Match 3:New Generation Team Vs Hero Team:The power of youth explodes outside a construction lot. Hero Team and New Generation Team were even, until Lin took over. Him and K’ led the Hero Team to a win!
During the second round, the Rebellion plan their next move, world domination. Using the Bloodstone, no one can defeat them. Though they are unaware the Igniz, Nameless and Misty and lurking as well as the Masters and Ikari Team. K’ Team get a bye and observe the third round match up. The Boss plan to face the Yagami Team when the Fatal Fury Team stops them, thus brawling. Boss Team loses by forfeit.
Final Match:Yagami Team Vs Hero Team:Inside the beautiful KOF Battle Dome(like the new Cowboys Stadium). 80,000 fans scream their lungs out for the finals. Iori tells K’ that he will perish while K just says, “Bring it on!” What a battle, especially between Yamazaki and Maxima. Kula’s ice powers freeze Vanessa while the speed of Lin is no match for the pure boxing stytle of Rick Strowd. Maxima soon meets defeat by Strowd and then K’ defeats him. Then. The dream match;K’ Vs Iori. Two rivals, one winner. Iori sends a cold hard stare toward K’ while K’ shows a badass type look on his face. Iori quickly hit a Maiden Musher on the one armed K’, but K’ hit a Chain Drive, then a Heat Drive. They engage in firece battle, but at the end, it was Iori Yagami who defeated K’, thus winning the KOF tournament for his team!
As the fans cheer them, the Yagami Team simply don’t care about winning the KOF 2001 crown. But then, everything goes black. Fans are scared. Soon, inside the Battle Dome, The Rebellion have entered in with Iori and Kyo clones. Ron knocks down a pillar holding the dome. Maxima and K’ rush people out before further harm. Then, Ron actives the cannon which he stole from Nests and it will go off in one hour. K’ seeks vengeance on Ron for killing his left arm, but Lin backs him up, telling him that he wants Ron. So, outside the Battle Dome, Lin fights Ron, Diana and Foxy while Zero tries to capture Kula. Maxima and K’ try to kill the cannon, but, Kyo and Iori clones surround them.
Meanwhile Terry finally kills Geese(Thank God).
Back to the main stuff, as the Yagami Team lurks in the shadows, watching the Hero Team face the Rebellion, Igniz and Nameless land a suprise attack. Yagami is gravely injured!
Back to the action, Lin has Ron beat and goes for his Hizoku Ougi Ranbu Dokugi when that basturd Ron sarificed Diana, thus killing her, Foxy and Ron soon vanish, leaving Zero to die by the hands of the Hero Team. When it looks like it’s over, Igniz and Nameless emege. K’ is shocked that they didn’t die. Igniz explains that after his father died, he had sercretly reformed NESTS and planed the world order himself. He states that he knew about the Rebellion’s plan, so he made a copy of everything NESTS owned. Then, he injected himself with Kyo’s, Iori’s, K’, and Maxima DNA inside him, to enhance himself. Finally, Igniz reveals a stone fro his glove, the Bloodstone! He states that he gave Ron the fake Bloodstone and sure, that stone has powers, the real Bloodstone can wipe out human existance instanly. So, he plans to kill the only clones possible of ruining that, the Hero Team.
As Nameless and Igniz prepare to battle the Hero Team, the Yagami resurfaces, saying that once they kill the “NESTS scum”, the Hero Team would be next. Suddenly, the Masters and Ikari Team show up as wel… Igniz battles the Hero Team and the Yagami Team as Nameless battles the Masters and Ikari Team. A firece battle emerged before Nameless was killed. But Igniz summomed a barrier to contain them. Kensou, Bao and Athena suddenly appear, trying to save their master when they are defeated. Then, Igniz vanishes with Athena, Bao and Kensou! The Yagami Team and Hero Team quickly search for Igniz’s sercret hideout.
Igniz has Athena, Bao and Kensou in chambers, planing to extract the Pyscho powers in Athena and the Dragon Spirt in both Bao and Kensou. Soon, Blue Mary along with Benimaru, Shouji Kusnagai and the Fatal Fury Team arrive inside the fottball field sized cloning lab. Mary tells Igniz that she sensed that he wasn’t dead and planed evil things. An enhanced Igniz(let’s call him Omega Igniz)dominates the seven fighters beforing beginning the extracting process. The Hero and Yagami burst through the door and stop the process. Igniz gets pissed and uses the Bloodstone to increased his powers even more! Soon, it was eight on one. Omega Igniz destory everyone except Iori and K’. K’ soon gains feeling bacl in his left arm and now, is back to being a two armed man. Igniz tells him that since being a clone, he has two sets of cells, human and genetic cells. Once the human cell die off, the genetic cells take over and can reproduce. K’ grows bitter as him and Iori plan their attack. Their combined power gave Igniz a run for his money, but he still defeated them. Skipping his extracting plans, he then proceeds to use the Bloodstone to destroy Earth!
As the time of good to defeat evil seemed doomed, a certain flame stopped it. It wasn’t a flame by Shouji, Iori or K’. It only met one person, one man who was thought to be gone forever into the abyss of the deceased. As Igniz turns around, he sees one man, one man who shed tears after being cloned. One man seeking vengeance. That man is Kyo Kusanagi!!! Everyone is stunned to see the arrival of Kyo. Together, three rivals(Iori, K’, Kyo)combined their powers to attack Igniz. Kyo’s Serpent Wave, Iori’s Maiden Musher and K’ delayed Chain Drive is enough to kill Igniz.
Kyo quickly talks to Benmiaru and his cousin outside the headquarters. Before leaving, Iori tells Kyo to stay alive until he kills him. Kyo just smirks and says, “Anytime, anyplace, anywhere!”
The Hero Team stare at a creek. Lin tells K’ that Ron is still alive and will probably strike later. He leaves them. K’ tells Maxima and Kula that he has nothing to live for as he killed NESTS. Maxima tells him “Sure, we were clones. Clones made to destroy all human life as well to replace it. But we are still human. We can seek anything. Our lives as slaves are over and their lives as humans begin now!”
K’ argees, saying that Ron will be next. As Maxima leaves to go to Rocky’s grave, Kua and K’ stare at the cresent moon above the midnight sky, reminding him of his new rival and a symbol of new life as a clone-human.
NESTS is dead. The Rebellion is dead. FinallyK’ can live in peace. Leaving his past behind, K’ seeks his memories now. Gainning new rivals like Iori and Kyo drive him to live his life. With his friedn Maxima, little sister Kula and older sister Whip, once clones of NESTS now seek a life of their own!
