King of Chinatown Documentary - Justin Wong - Empire Arcadia

lmfao I love how he said he was getting them all together to perfect their skills so they could be marketed.

Between you and projectjustice…go away please.

can you show me if there are more than 5 instances of this?? Out of ALLLLLL the tournaments that Justin has been to as well

you talk like you’ve never met him and until you do, YJDK

You’ll notice most (and by most I most 99%) Jwong haters are people who never met him or in fact, never even been to a tournament where Wong was there.

How correct you are sir

lol so true

and for some reason most of their join dates are 08 or 09 sigh

look forward to the finished product…cant wait

I want to see it cause I am pretty sure I will be in the background somewhere. I was standing right next to justin when you got most of that East Coast Throwdown footage. lol

I was sooo rooting for Wong to take EVO, oh well next year:wgrin:

Thanks Calvin for the link. It was a pleasure meeting you at EVO. It’s always good to see fellow HV20 and HV30 enthusiast running around at these events. I really look forward to your film. I think films like these really legitimize the scene and helps break preconceptions of what the gaming scene is like.

This is probally a stupid question, but will you be listing the places showing the movie on the webpage when you do get them figured out? It would be easier to look on there then search all the area codes near me on fandango.

I got into fighting games again because of videos of Justin playing, I definatly look forward to this.

thats not a stupid question AT ALL lol

basically that’ll be like movie listings for any other movie, it should be done

yo Calvin, this is Doug!!! It was nice talking to you on the plane back to S.F. Good luck with your movie. Try to make a couple of showing over here in the west coast, I’ll definitely check it out.

my sister lives out there, i’ll ask her to find a theater in Eugene.

Does magic johnson show indie films digitally? if you get more info about the theater ill look into it

who were you? thanks for the comment about the psychocrusher cards. i will try my best to get this out to any major city with a scene.

Dude! whatsup i’m glad you found me. It will 100% make it out to you. Im pretty sure i can fill a theater for even more than 1 night out there.

Once we finish the final editing we will be throwing some sort of press kit to send to these small theaters being mentioned. Whoever wants to play it or is capable of playing it will be the theaters that get to run it pretty much. Movies don’t usually release this way but this movie has a very special fan base that will help me launch this thing in a very unusual way. With your support this will hit the right people’s radars and eventually get a wider release and a DVD. There are not many movies that could do this, but with your support i think we can do something that no one has ever done before. Without all of you, we won’t be able to pull this off. And of course the theaters dates and times will be listed on both this site and our website. For some reason we’re not getting much youtube action, but our site is getting hit pretty rapid. People want to see this thing.

It’s probably getting linked with the text “Justin Wong” attached, and no one wants to see anymore of that. Not that there is anything wrong with him, there’s honestly not, but you have to understand that there are a lot of people that don’t like him, that have never met him/seen him, and that matters regardless. It needs to be marketed in a fashion that is neutral, and not biased, otherwise it WILL ruin the film, especially if you say it’s about the PEOPLE in the scene, but then show an hour of Justin Wong worship =\

Best of luck

Heh, I’ve been to that Gamestop they were standing in.

Please keep in contact when the showing in Montclair is, that’s an easy drive for me. (I live in Union)

Triforce sounds batshit insane. I love documentaries though, so I’m definitely going to watch it. Good luck to you.

Triforce looks like a fanatical cult leader from what I saw in that trailer. Coaching Justin on what to say, then saying “We gotta get them all together so that they can increase their skills… and we can market them”. Dang.

Get dat paper yo.

i was G.Squared… i had blue and white cornrows with a 317/Naptown cap on when i was being taped… hope i said something worth using my man…

I will be listing the dates and times on the http://www.kingofchinatown.com page

I respect this I hope you are able to grow from this project and do other pro-gamers and branch off into other genres.

As a fan of the filming arts and street fighter. I will be glad to support this when it comes out.

Hey you should do a document on B-Boys in Brooklyn with me and my crew…in the future it would be so sick.

…But nah you have ya hands full and the direction your going is great.

Once again I respect this project and Justin Wong is not a bad person. Cool guy who likes and loves sf4 just like we do.

edit: Must of been drunk when I posted this…
