How does the streaming from this indiepix site work? Is it any good?
I dont know but I did get the MP4 copy. in fullscreen the quality is not high quality but is manageable through the whole documentary
When you say fullscreen, what kind of display/res are we talking about. Charging 10 bucks or whatever to DL, you’d think it would be a decent quality…

- answer to my own question, the dvd is supposed to have a bunch of extras that the stream/dl don’t (there’s also supposed to be a blu-ray version around christmas)

So this took 3.5 hours to DL and less than 90 seconds in I’m seeing typos in the subtitles. FG community, if you want people to take you seriously, you have to get your fucking act together and present yourselves professionally.
I’m really not asking a lot here; just a copy editor. Hell, how about a buddy watches-the-film/reads-the-flyer/writes-the-article who has a decent grasp on basic grammar and spelling? Deal?
Was a fairly good documentary. Despite the name “King of Chinatown,” it focuses a lot on the relationship between Triforce and JWong, and the building of Empire Arcadia. As someone said up top, JWong’s decision to leave Empire and go to the west coast was probably the best thing he’s ever done for himself. Big LOLz at Triforce trying to pitch Empire to Gootecks and being turned down.
Triforce doesn’t seem like a very good business man. I see Empire all over the place on streams and such, but the business doesn’t look well presented. I think what they need to do is put out good content and have their players represent that content like they did when MvC3 first came out and they were doing the Sanford and Yipes kumite’s. So good luck to them and trying to find a way to revive and survive. If they already have then that’s great.
But I dont understand why Triforce has a bad rep? Can someone elaborate?Because from what I see, he has done a good job with Santhrax, Arturo, Ricky Ortiz, Flash Metroid, and Marn.all top players aside from Justin.And if Justin wouldve got caught for fraudulent charges on others peoples credit cards, Id say hed NOT be on top right now if it wasnt fo Triforce. I’d rather take oute where someone could mold me into a powerhouse people can respect without my permission, than some theif who get used for my talents, tossed out and locked away. IMO

Watching the documentary, Triforce comes off as a washed-up pathetic narcissist with delusions of grandeur.
And I don’t think that’s from the makers framing him in that way.
Granted, I don’t know the guy - that’s just how it looks.
What’s the status of EMP Arcadia? Anyone think they have been the same since Justin left? Certainly, no where near their glory days.

sorry guys… Indiepixfilms.com was definitely SRK’d last night. To be honest, I don’t think they knew it was going to be this big. We knew, and tried to warn them, but not until today did they really take us seriously.
I talked to them on the phone when their offices opened in the morning and they stated that they had never seen traffic like that before, and that they have fixed it so they can accept 1,000’s of downloads at the same time. We broke their record for highest amount of sales for a single film in 1 day. (Thanks to you)
They were moving slow with our page updates, and communicating with us very little, but now they are forced to take our questions and concerns seriously since we are rocking their socks off. The version of the film we gave them was HD. We will make sure that this gets out there. The DVD will contain deleted scenes, alternate ending, and behind the scenes. We were pushing for a Blu ray release, but it looks like we won’t have to push much harder with our huge success, I’m sure we will get one by Christmas. We have alot more leverage after last night. Also, we are sorry it took so long to get it out to you, we speant alot of money making it, and my co-producer and I still need to have full time jobs. We really needed a distribution company to make this work, so that we can make other films after this one, and recoup money speant.
Alot of people wonder why we went with the players that we did… Drama, rivalries, characters, and right time right place. I live in NJ, Justin and Triforce were right next door. I would make a Gootecks movie if I lived in Cali and he’d let me.
This was a HUGE step in our goal of helping to make players as famous as the games they play. This movie will continue to grow, and more people will understand how big the FGC really is. When this gets on G4 they will understand that people care about the players more than they care about reviews. We can’t wait to start our next project with the same goal in mind.
When you watch ESPN you don’t watch it to learn tips and tricks of players, you watch it to see the players

This film was really well-made but depressing to watch. I actually really felt sorry for Triforce, he’s like one of those guys from Shark Tank who invests his whole life in an idea that doesn’t quite work, but he feels that hes gone too far to turn back. It’s ironic because he is so against the idea of working a 9-5 job, but does not see that he has become a slave to his ideals and become more of a hamster-in-a-ball than any regular job could ever force him to be.
Isn’t Justin Wong that guy that works for Nexon?

Just wondering, if you purchase the DVD do you get access to the download version so you can watch instantly too? If not, would that be something you’d consider adding, or is it out of your control and just subject to how their site works?
Really want to get the dvd for the extras and stuff, but I also have no patience and want to see it soon!
