He’s had serious doubts about this game since it was announced at E3, seeing him say this so unexpected. These guys at giant bomb aren’t great at fighting games but they’re aware of awesome they are, looking forward to watch them play in the quick look tomorrow.

I’m not getting an Xbox One, but I’m still excited for this game. Why?
It’s the way you move, to the Killer Groove.
If you’re excited for the game but are not getting an Xbox One it’s likely because of the concepts the game is trying to introduce to fighting games like special payment system, in depth tutorial modes for beginners, hitboxes in training mode etc and/or you’re a really big fan of the old games.
Thunder’s theme still brings tears to my eyes. New hope for fighting games.

It’s really unusual that a game is given a sub-forum before release. Hang tight. If there is a scene for KI, there will probably be a forum here. Whether SRK becomes the focus of the community is up to the community.

@TroubleBrewing yeah it’s obvious it’s along the way considering what else is up on the board any ways.
Hopefully we’ll get to see Danger Moves/Ultimate Combos and Stage Finishers over time.
Giantbomb really appreciates the game. I’m guessing a 3.5/5 or a 4/5 stars from them. Jeff understands a lot about the game (thanks to Dojo mode). It was funny when (i forgot his name) started playing and after he pulled off a legit combo he was like: “Ok, this game is fun!”
Those of you wondering about TE2’s I recommend calling around gamestops. I called 2 at lunch today, and while I got different answers yesterday, they told me that the 23rd is the “release” date. And what that means is, they will either arrive the 23rd or be shipped from Texas to them on the 23rd, which means they may get them a couple days later. That seems like the most definitive answer I’ve gotten in regards to these being out. And I tried calling MadCatz just now about my order, just to see if I could change shipping over the phone to 2day if they knew if it was going to ship this week, but I was on hold for 10 minutes with no one picking up so I just hung up.
Most fighting games try to appeal to casuals by adding mechanics/modes that aren’t “hardcore” oriented.
KI is interesting in that, instead of lowering to the casual level, it wants to bring the casual up to the hardcore level.
I suspect the quality of dojo mode is going to bring a lot of new players to fighting games.
