I don’t post here much tho I’m interested and always up to date on the game, but I swing by every now and then and I wouldn’t really say DevilJin chases anyone off.
He seems to be pretty civil in conversation with those who actually want to have a conversation. Ever since the game was announced its been pretty fuckin black and white for most ppl whether they like the game or not.
The pure ignorance of most ppl who don’t like the game is mind numbing; they’re either blinded by nostalgia or know jack shit about the mechanics.
Nothing about that statement signifies a joke and considering most ppl who don’t like the game have made that sort of statement since E3 how would you expect ppl to act?
That’s just a wierd ass joke for a person who LIKES the game to make, random at that.
Like said before, if Dive Kick is in there, we are being trolled by not having our own forum and character specific forum at this point.
I really don’t see any other way. Forums really should be made based on demand, and not character roster.
I’m curious about why Divekick was given a forum. Hype? People ended up playing that game for like 5 minutes before moving back to normal fighters.
Realistically though, character specific forums aren’t even needed for some games. Anyone who cares about Skullgirls will be at skullheart, and for KOF they go to dreamcancel, and so on. I think for KI, people will probably just use the DH forum, unless some fan forum gets super popular.
So… lets request a forum subsection.

Well before Skullheart it was demanded that characters get their own subforum beforehand so people are going to have torches at Evo admins doors until the game gets its own section. I see the same thing happening and you better not be in peoples’ way when they want to talk about KI on SRK and not DH.
@MOB712 Thank you. Guy comes in here with his opinion, I already know before he even posts more than once that he made the comment he made earlier and at that point I was already done talking to him. Man you go joking with stuff like that about SFxT and they find out, the SFxT people will tear you to shreds. If I go around SRK in all caps going “FUCKING PERSONA 4 AND GGXRD GONNA WEEABOO EVO UP AND TAKE THE AMERICA OUT OF IT” with no other jokes or comments to suggest anything else and I accept ALL THE SHIT YOU GIVE ME after that. Well, the only thing new in that 4 hours of video was that 12 minutes of good mind games. The talk about KI having a forum section is new and pretty important.

Umm Mortal Kombat Had 7 Playable Characters and 3 Bosses, also Bloody Roar had 8 Playable and 1 Boss and I payed full price for the games.
Also Power Stone had 8 and was full price, do I need to go on? This is way before DLC also.

Anyway my life is gonna suck if evryone in Norcal picks up Sadira and I do play Glacius, trying to learn setups and stuff witht he Hail to keep her out,.
LOL the one thing I wanted to try out on sat was if Jago could Kara-throw with f+hk but I quickly forgot about that after being mesmerized by the game. In case anyone was wondering I was the Jago that did jump back HP every 4 seconds.
I’m more worried about Sabrewulf than Sadira at this point. He’s easier to use and going to be the same problem but faster due to his stupid fast dash. At least it will take time for people to figure out how to be cheap with Sadira.
Does Ice Lance go over him fi he does that dash? I feel with Sabes being primarily ground based he’ll be easier to handle.

It does not, it hits him normally.
On the 4 hours of the most recent stream (where there was apparently nothing to see) it appears Sabre can actually Special cancel the last few frames of that dash too.
Thankfully his specials aren’t safe.
Most everyone in the cast has a crouching normal that ducks under ice lance. He’ll most likely get hit if you use ice lance during his run, but if he does the slide follow up that’s surely going under the lance.
You’ll hit scrubs with ice lance all of the time but good footsie people are going to force it to whiff and the whiff recovery on ice land is pretty long. It has a decent vulnerable hit box also so you can definitely get out poked even from a distance. The main scare factor with ice lance is that if you hit them with it clean, they are in a combo from a range that they can’t do the same to you from.
The main thing that Glacius has over Sabrewulf I think so far is that Glacius only has one shadow move that can go through projectiles and otherwise he doesn’t really have any strong options to stop LP hail. LP hail comes at the perfect angle to cover anything he could try to do to hit you including command run slide. You’re going to want to be very careful about using ice lance vs. a good Sabrewulf though. His walk speed and jump are fast and if you whiff one lance it’s going to be your ass. You definitely have to lay mines on the field first before ice lance becomes a real threat.
Sadira definitely is going to be a problem coming from the air all of the time, but I like that her ground game is definitely a lot weaker than Sabre’s and that makes it easier to just swat her on the ground one time with a good read then start laying mines to force her out of the air. It’s not Marvel so she’s not going to be able to block during her air games so I feel later on you’ll be able to dictate the match once you get things on the screen. If she gets next to you, you’re fucked outside of shadow move reversal, puddle punch whiff punish or throw, but that’s pretty much the same when vs. every character with Glacius.
It’s all theory though and I could be wrong and eventually Sadira players find aerial angles that are impossible for Glacius to swat without heavy risk. We’ll see where it goes.
