Killer Instinct XB1: Season 2 hits October 15th. 20 dollars for Combo, 40 dollars for Ultra

Blockstun seemed like old fighting games. No attacks with more hit stun than block stun. Gonna have to use shadow counters to disregard block stun and even those must be timed correctly or you get hit any ways.

So… did Orchid just instinct cancel a combo breaker animation and then juggle her opponent from it?

Every character can do this actually.

Yeah it’s been known for a while that you can instinct cancel combo breakers.

I believe the only things you can’t instinct cancel are throws, ultras (and if you aren’t Sadira, mid-air instinct cancel) and getting hit (for obvious reasons).

This wait to hear the shipping info MadCatz promised us about the TE2’s this week is KILLING ME!!! It’s got me even more on tilt after MarkMan’s tweet yesterday, and Amazon and Gamestop changing their ship date to 12/13.

Yeah if you ordered this stick at a retail outlet you’re not getting it day one. Day twenty one is looking more likely.

Killer Instinct gets infinite Survival Mode at launch, Arcade mode after Season 1 characters

Before you ask, all characters will be out by “February or March” last we heard (source: IGN):

There is a KI stream today right?? Back to the regular time.

I think so. I hope that is when MCZ spills the beans about when to expect the joysticks. As usual I’ll miss it due to hitting up the gym, but I’ll have to check it out later when I get home, but before the Redskins game!

Yeah got a friend that wants to hang in silver spring, but also wanna watch the stream and the skins game. Decisions.

Im sour I

That ruins alot for me to be honest…

I hope that at least the every store gets two or three for the 22nd. Altho its not looking like it…

They answered two of my three questions! I feel so happy

One was when Spinal and Fulgore would be available, and the answer is January and March, respectively.

The other was whether or not the new characters in KI 2 (Kim Wu, Maya and Tusk) would be off the picture because of the KI 2 storyline… And the answer is “No, nobody is off limits”

I just couldn’t get an answer for whether or not Season 2 is a sure thing or if it will depend on the game’s financial performance, but that might have been answered at some other point.

Your last question was already answered. Just like most forms of media, nothing is guaranteed without successful sales. They already said season 2 is likely, but not guaranteed. Basically sales have to come through.

The idea is that if it gains a following like League of Legends (not the same number of sales, but a generally strong reception to multiple seasons) they said the would like to keep making characters basically forever under the same title. Meaning if this catches on, don’t be surprised to see 5 plus seasons or 30 plus characters. It sounds like they’re ready to introduce a ton of new characters to the IP.

Oh, and can we please not pass off baseless speculation as fact, especially if it’s coming from a certain Youtuber?

So… That didn’t happen.

Neither did his prediction that it would be Cinder rather than Fulgore.

I’m surprised anyone takes this guy seriously. He’s a professional speculator. The guy throws wild speculations in the air to get video hits, which can get you quite a few extra bucks when you monetize them. Serious money.

In other words, unless it involves gameplay, no more Max vids in this thread.

I don’t mean to dig on the guy, I think some of his stuff is great.

I just don’t like how some people treat him as an authority on the subject when it comes to things that haven’t been publicly revealed.

Max has a sort of “in” with the developers.

That’s not to say his speculation is anything but speculation. But at the moment he is one of the better sources of information on the game.

Starting to get annoyed by this cocktease from MadCatz about letting us know about shipping info.

Well I actually have a bit of an issue with him after his MvC2 vids but whatever.

But he has a history of having developers go to him for early reveals or PR management. The problem is that he has a bad habit of blurring the line maybe. Because we know that he’s basically being invited to play KI at DH headquarters, but at the same time he’s not really getting much information that we don’t already have.

So like I said, for this particular game, unless it involves gameplay we probably should avoid having his vids in here. For another game, things could change.
