I must be the only one feeling it then. Now that he looks more like a monk, people will stop confusing him for a ninja. Worried about Spinal tho, He doesn’t need any threads honestly.
You know you guys can just buy all the characters. Really people just bitching out their frustration with Xbox one. Kind of dumb for people who want the game but makes sense for people who are hesitant to buy or new to ki. They must have a lot of confidence in this to do this.
I like the designs too! My initial reaction I was jaded and skeptical but upon further analysis I found the designs to be really interesting and well thought out. Definitely contrasts with SF and MK and a nice progression on the original KI games.
that maximilian video showed way better clips than the official reveal trailer. game is so bright and colorful i thought it was sf4 for a second. some of what he said was reassuring but some of it was disturbing, especially how it feels more like street fighter than KI. actually some of those moves looked ripped off of sf games. jago’s wind kick thing looks like shit though. should have used the KI1 version for reference. still, there are so many obstacles in the way if this game is actually good. if it is, then i hope it’s on pc or like he said, maybe even straight up arcade cabs (without X1 restrictions i hope).
Um KI was always an SF ripoff with a twist. And what is so shitty about the wind kick? I mean whens the last time you looked at the original animation? I’ve seen the sprite sheets for KI1-2 and the pose is nearly identical except this new animation is a million times better.
That doesn’t sound good at all. An lookin at the vids it looks like they ARE trying to meld 1 and 2 (gold actually) together. The look (until i can test) seems more towards KI 2
Boy, as if the game doesn’t have enough going against it. I’m going to assume that if it is F2P that there will be an option to flat out buy all the characters (probably for $70…), I mean, they’re not that dumb, right? Right?
The trailer was horrible, and the game isn’t even being made by Rare; it’s being made by Double Helix…look them up (hint, you will be sorely disappointed)
M$ purchased the rights to this franchise just so they can burn it to the ground, just like Perfect dark.
i hear ya. i loved it since i first saw the trailer. i was like yo jago looks dope, bigger and has that monk feel to him. i have no idea why so much hate towards jago, niggas is wildin. motherfuckers havent touched KI in like 10+ years or ever, and hate jago’s design, as if his KI 1 design was something so amazing. he looked like a bro with a tight ninja suit on. i prefer his KI 2 design to his original.
F2P and buy characters is fine. for all we know the characters will be like 2 bones a piece. overall i doubt you will pay anymore then 60 bucks for everything. if anything gamers should be happy they can control who they want depending on how your wallet is looking. so if you only have 40 for the game instead of 60 for a disc, you can get 40 dollars worth of the game and the rest later. sounds fucking fine to me.
the only thing that sucks is that well xbox one sucks. lol. there is no getting around the cluster fuck that is xbox one, and it saddens me greatly, but i currently cannot justify copping an xbox one just for killer instinct. i dont play halo, i give a fuck about gears of war, and most xbox exclusives are irrelevant to me besides killer instinct.
if microsoft 180s the xbox ones issues, im looking forward to continuing with dat xbox and loving some killer instinct. until then, i’ll just have to hope for a pc release or ps4 release. i feel bad for the team behind ki3, because it doesnt seem like their game will get as much shine as it may deserve if the xbox one just bombs in sales.

Also I found out what took so long for Microsoft to drag another Rare title into the dirt. Apparently because Fox TV network had a short lived TV series called Killer Instinct, it prevented M$ from using the same name.
It took some negotiations from M$ (and some cash) for Fox to allow the name to be used by M$. I am sure there someone at Nintendo crying over this development.
I seriously am thinking the head Honchos (like Steve Balmer) at Microsoft actually hates the Xbox, so they’re sending it on a self-destruct course so they have an excuse to their board of directors dismantle the whole gaming division of the company. As Microsoft makes more a month off Silverlight and MS Office than they do for a whole year of Xbox sales. And that is not factoring loses because of RROD or product development.
Rumors were before the release of Halo 3 that Microsoft was going to Dismantle their Xbox division since the Xbox was 1 billion in the hole over the RROD issues. The Success of Halo 3 (as well as other popular IP) was enough reason for the board of directors to keep the division afloat. Gates has nothing to do with this as he already retired from CEO before the Xbox 360 came out. If anything as Major stockholder Gates might have a say, but it also means the other stockholders (all the minority partners) would also have to not to disagree. All the minority partners together shares are larger than Gates share.
WTF its not even out yet, you haven’t even touched it…For the people who grew up playing this at the arcades are hype as fuck, guys who were still in their dad’s nut sack just dont understand how fucking awesome Killer Instinct was at the arcades. Play it first before saying it fails! Im excited, the tech forum better have some PCBs ready before KI3 release date!
I typically can’t stand Maximillian but his enthusiasm seems genuine and infectious. Pretty much mimics what I felt from the Jago demo. KI is just HYPE and it reminds me of what was such a great draw of the arcades (and this series) back in the 90s - arcade games weren’t just about the mechanics but were loud, exciting, sensory attacking experiences that allowed games to stand out from the machines around them. KI did this better than most at its time. I’m truly sad that I won’t be able to own this game.
