I don’t think anyone is trying to "talk themselves into"anything here. The positively is happening because of what people are seeing, remember that almost everyone was disappointed when the trailer came out so the recent swing in opinion is a result of numerous hands on accounts and match videos from people in the community…not to mention interviews with the games creators that give a good impression.
There is a difference, saying dumb stuff like “double helix made good games before” and “it looks okay” are coming from two different places. the former is someone bascially revising history to justify liking something while the other is just going by an eyeball test with everything they’re reading and seeing, while not giving a shit about anything else outside of that. The latter is fine, the former is sad. No contradiction there, you must not understand what that word means.
And just because people before me have talked about the XBone’s policies doesn’t mean I can’t. Not my fault MS has left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.
I should’ve just quoted that person who directly posted, “Double Helix has made good games like silent hill homecoming”. You’re full of shit, guy.
Titanfall is marketed as one of the Xbone killer apps and it’s getting a PC release. Also, this make is being developed by Double Helix not Rare. Double Helix has release a few of their games on PC.
Eyedol was the perfect Boss for KI, but Gargos just felt like a Mini-Boss. Here’s hoping the devs at Rare & Double Helix get very creative, wouldn’t mind seeing something Cthulhu-related myself…
They’ve got a few new developers working on the game. So it’s not a hopeless cause. I hope this game is game is great, but I’m still not buying the new XBox.
Lets hope so. Even if the game is good. It still might now do well because its on the X-Ass. It might become another TVC. A legitimately good game on a system that sucks for fighting games.
To reiterate…the production of homecoming was"hijacked"mid way through by a ego centric producer who would eventually go on to reproduce more shitty SH games that would eventually ruin the series. Double helix had a different vision before they were told to"start over"again so who knows what their version of silent hill would have been.
