As for Kim Wu, she’s not needed. I would love to see Tusk & Maya return, especially since their debut would mean their one of the few Fighting Game Couples that made it (other than Mai and Bogus Bogard), but Kim Wu has that Sakura factor to me. Like she’d be nothing more than an inexperienced female Jago.
I say bring back the entire roster! KI needs all the characters it can get and keep in mind Kim Wu will be getting a complete redesign so she might end up being way more badass then before. I can see the Nunchaku moves being pretty cool…
Introduced in Killer Instinct
1 Black Orchid
2 Chief Thunder
3 Cinder
4 Eyedol
5 Fulgore
6 Glacius
7 Jago
8 Riptor
9 Sabrewulf
10 Spinal
11 T.J. Combo
Introduced in Killer Instinct 2
12 Gargos
13 Kim Wu
14 Maya
15 Tusk
EDIT:
Check out the character designer Eric Canete’s (guy who designed Jago) blog might give us some idea what the female characters could end up looking like http://kahnehteh.blogspot.com/
I’m new to KI, but I think the game does look good.
Just curious if someone could help me out explaining the lingo, “linkers, auto doubles” etc. I know the regular fighting game lingo, but this is new to me. Care to explain?
Ps- when you guys type in xbone, I keep reading it as x-bone, like the console is gonna bone you.
The sad thing, and it is sad, is that I was completely leaning PS4 in every way… until I saw this trailer. I am such a rabid KI fan, but I just don’t think I can swallow the pill that MS is serving up.
Damn that Ken Lobb v Maximilian match was pretty fucking great. I can totally see this being competitive if they can sort out that Kinect always on crap.
Saw that crosscounter episode and was really impressed with how good the movement looks so far. Reminds me a lot of SF4. The only thing I really hate is the budget looking character select. Can’t wait to see what they do with some pros on the team
If this has been noticed & posted before, my apologies.
I remember Max saying in his rundown video that the music actually escalates as you do an Ultra Combo, right up to when you land the final hits. After watching both Jago & Sabrewulf’s, I think it’s more than that. The hits you put on your opponent actually add beats to the soundtrack as it scales up, leading to the crescendo. In short, you’re laying the beatdown, and the beat down, to your own Ultra Combo Theme.
when i was 15 16 some one traded us a snes with killer instinct and mk3, i remember i could tear it up with sabrewolf and in mk3 cyrax, now i bet i could not remember shit , probably wont matter tho
