Something I’m really curious about though: What other things did the person with the cursed monkey paw wish for besides “A sequel to Killer Instinct”?

The Wishes were

1. New Xbox console
2. New Killer Instinct
3. Free Health Care in the US. (I am actually losing my insurance because of Obama Care).
4. Giant Space Rock Hit Russia (like the Russians gave a fuck, seriously check out the over 1 thousand Youtube Videos of Russians Laughing at the space rock daring it to do something)
5. World Peace

Also I found out what took so long for Microsoft to drag another Rare title into the dirt. Apparently because Fox TV network had a short lived TV series called Killer Instinct, it prevented M$ from using the same name.
It took some negotiations from M$ (and some cash) for Fox to allow the name to be used by M$. I am sure there someone at Nintendo crying over this development.

I seriously am thinking the head Honchos (like Steve Balmer) at Microsoft actually hates the Xbox, so they’re sending it on a self-destruct course so they have an excuse to their board of directors dismantle the whole gaming division of the company. As Microsoft makes more a month off Silverlight and MS Office than they do for a whole year of Xbox sales. And that is not factoring loses because of RROD or product development.
Rumors were before the release of Halo 3 that Microsoft was going to Dismantle their Xbox division since the Xbox was 1 billion in the hole over the RROD issues. The Success of Halo 3 (as well as other popular IP) was enough reason for the board of directors to keep the division afloat. Gates has nothing to do with this as he already retired from CEO before the Xbox 360 came out. If anything as Major stockholder Gates might have a say, but it also means the other stockholders (all the minority partners) would also have to not to disagree. All the minority partners together shares are larger than Gates share.

WTF its not even out yet, you haven’t even touched it…For the people who grew up playing this at the arcades are hype as fuck, guys who were still in their dad’s nut sack just dont understand how fucking awesome Killer Instinct was at the arcades. Play it first before saying it fails! Im excited, the tech forum better have some PCBs ready before KI3 release date!

I grew up with Killer Instinct, I had it on the SNES when it was new, and man as a kid I regretted getting this over Street Fighter II Turbo.

It was Crap then, KI 2 was crap and so was KI Gold, and on the Xbone the Bro-Douche system its even more crap now since they got Double Helix to Finish it off and send the series to its gave.

Nothing confirmed but most likely yes. He’ll probably get a few new pokes & keepaway moves on top of his Puddle Uppercut & Bouncing Snowball. Don’t like his design though; too jagged and rough. They overdid it on the “He’s an Alien made of Ice” motif.

But that’s just me…

Probably to add some mystic or something, but it’s just another change I’m not really fond of. But honestly, if this game didn’t have any flaws aesthetic wise, I’d think the gameplay would suck out loud.

Has to be. Only thing that’s unbreakable without a Lockout are Shadow Moves and Linkers and Enders.

The arcade version was G O D L I K E! I remember so many heads crowded around this thing back in the day. Going to visit my cousin’s he took me to the arcade he went to and their were even more people. I remember everyone had sheets of papers with moves and combos printed up and written down on paper. It was the first time seeing the Cinder infinite and just thinking “WTF, my body isn’t ready”.

I was whatever about a new one if it ever came out, but after seeing this(especially after KI2…ugh…). Considered me hype and hoping MS changes their policies.

Looking at other gameplay vids and hearing Max’s impressions it sounds a lot better. Still not quite what I was expecting/hoping for but…better. We’ll see what happens.

After the embarrassment they suffered at the hands of Sony on Monday, it’s all but a sure bet. It won’t be an overhaul, but the “shared games” policy might become very relaxed in a few months, along with the “Always On” functionality will be conveniently forgotten.

Well I was flamed last year for shitting all over the idea of KI being brought back from the dead in whatever thread that was, and I reserve my original stance (squatting) to shit all over it still.
