How do you use the EX divekick? I struggle to find a way to use it effectively. I would like to use it as a punish for crouch tech but it seems that opponents always have the time to block. I am pretty sure it can be a really good tool to open up the opponents guard but i dont get how to use it the optimal way.

Another question: does somebody have a setup to land a safe deep divekick on an opponent like Ryu? (If it works on everybody its better lol) I use TC > early airthrow, immediate hk scramble > delayed dive, but it can be stuffed by a delayed DP and im not sure that it is positive on block. Maybe some setups can be done from the slide, but im not that great to find new techs.

Last question: how often do you use cr.hp, and do you often land CH cr.hp U2?

EX divekick seems mostly for getting in with frame advantage, not for getting in with damage.

Speaking of anti-air normals… what buttons are good for that? I just realized I’ve almost never anti-aired with anything other than stinger, nj hk or air throw o.0

ex spiral is for blowing up techs, not ex divekick.

I rarely land cr.hp u2 because I’m wary of using cr.hp cause it can be low profiled.

with regards to cr.hp to U2. it should only be character specific. if you can’t hit them when crouching, it’s not useful. Probably useful for shotos which it works on but not elena or juri

Close MP is good if you time it right… Cr.HP can anti-air if they jump from about round start range or further back… other than that? Good luck :[

st.hp anti air is good cause decapre’s lunge forward drops her hurtbox

Pretty much how I’ve been using the divekick also. Although I’ve only started playing Decapre. Kinda ignored her because she wasn’t how I thought she’d be, and she’s the reason I even bothered getting this game (and Elena, I don’t play either). I was against an able the other day, I went for the air throw after target combo and I did like a whiff throw animation through him. I was definitely in rangee etc. Weird and a little salt cause I lost my pressure and lost in a clutch moment.

Nah it was definitely throw lol. I doubt a jab would send me through Abel. Probably just a rare bug. It was Endless anyway, my online ranked pride is still intact!

You have to hit them with the sixth frame of the throw if you want to combo into it. I dunno, maybe you had already passed through him by the time it finished?

I’ve been using u1 mostly but obviously that’s a bad idea for some matchups. How can you combo into DCM?

I try to do it after ground pound and it whiffs. Try after meaty uppercut and it whiffs.

Read through some of the popular threads (like this one) plenty of ways to combo into u2. Character specific combos of course

so I saw nuckledu use a lot empty throw as a buffer into LP hands. Good idea or gimmicky? I use cr.mp myself as a buffer but empty throw is an interesting option

I just use a jab, throw is slow and whiff punishable on reaction.

What do you guys find is the easiest to link out of a cross-up lk? Finding it really hard to nail the timing to combo that
