Yo Kreymore, gg man. But I gotta be honest, youre better than that. Dont get salty on me but…if hes mashing cr. LP on wake up and between block strings you shoudve frame trapped him more (cr. MP, run stop > MK, etc.). And what is up with those EX BSK as anti airs? It hits only twice on Sakura man, cr. MP gives you almost the same damage, and if you have the hand skills you could even go for some KIO, I mean his jump ins were pretty obvious.
Anyways congrats, and btw I LIKED THE OUTFIT.
I thought it was me playing there dude, you know…the yeallow outfit plus getting bodied…thats pretty much how I look like around here.
Cheers! Ill keep taking a look at your channel every now and then
so lots of people have been getting salty about Guy being weak and about getting bodied against some characters.
I say CHILL OUT FOLKS! ITS OK…WERE GONNA GET THERE!
JUST KEEP PRACTICING!
cheers…
Eh, Marlin Pie was beating me up in the ground game, so I went a little gimmicky (too much use of Run > Overhead). I played much better against Arturo in the later bracket, even though I wound up losing to him in a very close match. Thanks for the kind words, though. :china:
Gradually getting over stream nerves, haha. Overall, I’m pretty happy with how I played. I picked up a lot on my own tendencies and things that I needed to improve. The next time I go to Big Two, I’ll try to avoid getting 9th again (and again, and again).
Hahaha!
Dude, I was literally thinking very seriously about making a thread titled “We Guys need to chill out” and have it about the exact same thing. I find it hilarious that you were probably thinking the EXACT same thing.
Like, my mind is blown. EXACT SAME.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
At least someone is in good moods here!
Cheers dude, but thats creepy really…lol
Trying out Guy recently, he’s a lot of fun and feels quite unique.
I’m coming from Sakura so there’s a significant transition
What are Guy’s good frame traps?
I assume cr.mp xx lk/mk tatsu or ex shoulder is a good poke. st.mk and st.hk for footsies. This is just going off training mode with him for 10-20 mins :p. Any tips for someone starting out with Guy
st.mp is a good footsie, you can cancel it into run slide.
i’ve noticed Pedro/OTinhoso doing st.mk after a blocked hozanto/shoulder some times.
Well when you face good players such as Noobtron and Dieminion especially facing Noobtron in the first round… you’d be salty too. It’s a sad day for me here. maybe next ranbat I have time to grind and raise 20 dollars… ._. tournies can be so expensive…
Dude, I face Mago, Daigo, Tokido etc…everyday…and I am not salty…I had 4800 PP got down to 4400 PP only losing to Zangitan (also lost somehitng like 500 BP and 4 positions in the Guy rank) and its ok…I mean getting salty wont help anything. We gotta keep practicing. Believe me, when it comes to facing tough opponents I think my case is worse.
The gold alternate 1 is my favorite costume. I just don’t use it online because my HDD is corrupted. =( I may start using another costume because you pretty much trademarked that one.
I just wasn’t comfortable playing on that monitor for some reason. I don’t know if the projector creates any refresh rate issues… I’m not sure. It just felt weird. And because of it, i wasn’t able to execute like I normally would.
I have some more recorded matches I will be uploading in a bit.
I’m facing them in tournaments, and I have only faced them once. Dieminion lives in NY, Noobtron lives in Mass. And no one from CT plays Guile at any of the tournaments or casuals. And no Guile I’ve ever faced online plays at the same caliber as those 2. Your situation may be worse, but you have the opportunity to play against them frequently, I don’t. Unless I attend Next Level casuals which due to my schedule and lack of income is impossible I won’t be able to face anyone of high caliber much at all unless its at tournaments. The last high level player I’ve ever faced online in my times of fighting on XBL was Saqs and he was a Rose player who also plays Guy or dabbled with him that was back before AE.
My main benefit in CT is I’m the only main Guy player around here. So I have the benefit of knowing matchups while other people here have barely any experience in it up until now.
Or jump to the great and wonderful wagon that is
oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yyyeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I’m serious too, Guy can sit back for a while because hes frustrating me to hell and back. Mr Hawk, simply put; face slams dudes into the ground and pretends to be an airplane during footsies… thats too awesome.
Youve got a point man…practice makes all the difference. You should get a Xbox
No income, no xbox, but I’m hoping to just save money any time I can, though my friend is getting an xbox so I may just buy the game and mooch off his xbox every now and then seeing as me and him have a deal on SSX.
This week: putting some finishing touches on the Dee Jay match up thread, uploading some more videos, and possibly attending Savage Saturdays #3.
Streak you should come to CT for gaming etc tournies, after all its ranbats for EVO tickets… but its a chance to help me out with Guy showings lol.
Haha, I would love to do so, but I’m still gradually adjusting to the NYC scene. Keeping it local seems like the right fit for me currently, since I don’t have a car or my driver’s license (working on that, but it’s been a little rough, especially since my accident about two years ago). And, I honestly don’t know how much time I’ll be able to devote to the game once I start work on Wednesday. That’s the reason why I’m trying to push out as much content as I can before then.
I’ll let you know if I ever do, though! Feel free to ask me questions if you have them, even if I’m definitely not the best person to ask, haha.
I was more so saying help me show out Guy more, its mostly top tier showing here in CT so its most of our scene or at least tourney winners are NY or Mass. But Dieminion always comes through and Noel Brown. Some people take the train so its always a possibility for you. But I understand the whole work thing, that’s what mostly keeps me from going to tournies etc.
Yeah, man, I’ll try. All I can really do is get better and play more on the stream when I’m at Next Level. Even when I am there, I don’t go too often because it’s fairly far from my place via public transportation (1.5 to 2 hours on average). Hopefully, that’ll suffice for now.
I plan on going to Winter Brawl and some local tournaments soon it’s about time for me to expand my gameplay elsewhere other than online and a few casuals. But the tournament I’m looking forward to the most is Powerup 2012 it should be alot of fun can’t wait :
