Anyone gonna be playing Street Fighter X Tekken? We’re getting pretty close to its release and Guy’s gonna be in it.
I will since there will be PC version available as well. Did they confirm Guy and Cody team yet? I saw them in a trailer back then but I don’t remember seeing any gameplay footage of them.

You can see both Guy and Cody at around 1:52 of this vid but who knows? maybe capcom was just trolling us 
No gameplay yet, but Lupinko says he’s in. Plus you have the whole voice actor thing lol. Probably should be getting an official reveal in the next week-month.
No official reveal yet either, saying he’s in is one thing him actually being in is another, so I don’t believe that trailer now, and didn’t believe it when it was released, but until Guy and Cody both get announced, I have no care for SFxT

Dont know if you guys knew this already but after a counter hit you can LP hozanto into ultra 1 in the corner against balrog and zangief and even without a counter hit it will connect and TC into ultra will work as well. Sorry if you guys already knew this but I think it’s helpful.
Also on block you can U2 balrog’s turn punch and his ex attack’s if your close enough if i’m correct I will have to double check but I’m sure about the U2 part lol.Also this is a character specific thing but in the corner you can Bushin chain, MP and empty run slide and you will cross your opponent up and reset them. I know it works on Sagat, Zangief, Balrog, Cody, Seth, Gouken, Makuto, Bison, and Dudley. I will finding out more stuff soon so cheers for now

Well I realized that OS against Balrog is very helpful if you can read him like a book. you can OS U2 all of his EX moves except EX Headbutt and OS slide when you see it coming and OS grab works like a charm. also crouching MK is very good in this match up as well if I can I would like to make a balrog match up thread if there already isn’t one. But I really need help with the Bison match up I have a hard time against him at times because I can’t OS against that damn EX Psycho Crusher with anything.
I mostly don’t OS bison but react to his wake up options. Ex hozanto on blocked psycho crusher. Ex hozanto on teleport. Yes he can backdash if you don’t OS, but at high level, players don’t backdash often. You got to read your oponnent .
I don’t understand how OS U2 works against Balrog, since his only invincible move is Headbutt.

It’s up to you but personally I disagree with the OS. Bison can do the fake Ex stomp and punish you, either upon landing or if he follows up with devils reverse.
Not to mention if it’s a Bison player who has eaten this OS many times, he will teleport behind you even. Some may do ex scissors if they have 3 meters. I’d still say learn to react.
I agree. I only use the OS MK BSK when the Bison player doesn’t have meter or I can’t take the chip damage. Because Guy doesn’t have one OS that beats all of Bison’s options, it’s better to block and react.
with the rose match up, u have to always use some sort of os on that bitch. on a hard knock down i do cr lp os cr lk~cr hk… and when u jump in on her and she fadc’s back dash, either do cr hk or mk tatsu… against guile i try not to ever jump in on him unless its a safe jump. if i do its elbow drop which beats out all his flash kicks even u1. cr mk beats all his jump ins except j.lk i think… u gotta frame trap the fuck out of him… use all the ones u know…
Sadly… no elbow does not beat out FK. If the Guile player is smart which this Guile player was and only lost to Dieminion the entire tournament. He timed his FK where Elbow would lose to it, EVERY time he did it. It didn’t matter on spacing either, upclose, right above him, at max distance where Elbow would still beat it. He just read everything like a book, and just played that classic defensive game.
Its not that I lost to the player, I lost to the character. It just seemed like nothing worked. I go in knowing Elbow would beat his FK so if I bait it out I’ll be fine especially if I stay out of cr HP range and i forget what kick normal also beats out Elbow. Well that didnt work, tried to psychic is sonic booms that never worked. I need that 2012 update to try and find ways around Guile. I honestly wish Guile was more an aggressive character.
In terms of Rose, I’ve fought him before, I took rounds but he basically kept doing safe pressure, I mainly lost to that. and mistime jhk on roses slide… I found out afterwards that you have to delay it much more than you would than shotos cr mk etc. But Rose even though she lost things its still the whole… she has safe pressure. BUT I can say that TC LP Hozanto can put a lot of people in check. since it leaves guy at -1 you can still do cr lk for pressure afterwards as many mistime their normals since it has so much blockstun, its a valid way to keep your opponents blocking and to fish for counterhit. Also since you have to delay most of the cross up setups it makes fighting her harder. Her and Sim and are the only ones that have that weird wake up hitbox. While Rog has a wider hitbox, but jump hk is better for Rog… can still cross him up if you time it right and either way you have more blockstun.
sometimes I feel like I just cant do shit any certain matchups its even starting to feel like im only winning by luck. I dont want to quit guy but im tired of feeling like a chump… ibuki has counterhit setups now? ehonda turtles and i get destroyed due to random headbutts. grapplers do absolutely nothing special and they get this random magically damage on you with their godlike teleport grab…
str[e]ak was on the Big Two stream tonight. He did a really good job against a Cammy player and came out on top. Extremely solid stuff. Always nice to see a Guy player put in work in a competitive setting!
