That would be pretty badass
Each to their own.I will say it was one of the better themes to come out of Alpha 3 along with Ryus theme. The rest of the OST is pretty bad in my opinion though.
Alpha 2’s compositions just felt alot more varied in styles using more instruments and stuff. Also they were tributes to Final fight characters which made them nostalgic aswell.
Good luck, man!
I might get some heat for this, but I loved this remix of Rolento’s theme in Namco x Capcom: . They used it for Guy in the game, though.
this is still one of my favorite themes from the final fight series. would’ve sounded sick in ssf4 with guy beating some one’s ass.
Why would you get heat for that? That remix is one of my favourite.Rolentos theme is really good in Alpha 2 aswell.
I’m looking for fan made remixes of Guys Alpha 2 theme though.Like theres loads for Jazzy NYC 99 from 3rd strike and stuff.
Hey heatblazn, post the stream link if and when it goes down. I’ll root for you, good luck
Thanks guys!
Sabin might be coming down for this event so be sure not to miss it.
Il post the link when I get it
K1 it was fun playing your team last night and in tournament mode.I thought the UK-USA connection would be terrible but it was playable.
Team tourney was a bit one sided with the honda player(klik I believe?) beating me (fuck that match up) or the other random people on my team.
yeah it was fun bro, good matches. yeah that honda is a good friend of mine, he knows the Guy matchup pretty well for the most part so dont worry about losing to him haha. we should do it again sometime. I was trying to work on my chun a little bit. every day im looking better with her haha
I’ve said this glitch once, I’m gonna say it again (this time it lost me a match). Ok, before I didnt think that this glitch really mattered, but I found a way it can happen in a match. If your opponent hits you air to air, then dashes under you, usually you can mash jab to hit his dash. But, because of the Guy glitch with fast jabbing, you cant turn around as they dash behind, so they get a free punish. I just block those mixups now, but its sort of annoying.
Tell me about it.Happens all the time with Abel and his rolls.
You just sit there jabbing the wrong way like an absolute idiot. It’s like a reverse auto correct.Hopefully it gets fixed in the update.
On another note,Option-select.com says EX izuna (not TK) is the #1 move we aren’t using.
Personally my only problem with it is it’s inconsistency against DP’s.Like does it work consistenyl against jab.srk from Ryu?The timing seems hard when it’s not a fierce uppercut.Do I hit it early in the jump down or late in the jump down?
To be honest I believe it’s generally the same time as hard punch cause I fight a Ryu all the time, and whenever I do Run/Slide neutral jump and he goes for Shoryu, I always get him. Just go into training room and find the timing.
does n e body know how to do the armor cancel ultra 2 for guy. What i do is hcb hcf+kkk hcb+ppp. i pull it off sometimes but i want to pull it off recently. anybody know what i am doing wrong because mostly i get the armor cancel ex bushin flip
Its HCB QCF HCB . on during the second HCB. you should hit kk while going down, and then 3p as you finish. it’s done relatively quick.
It’s seriously my favorite technique that Guy has. You should try it offline against someone (or have a headset on for online) and look at/listen to their reaction when they get 500 damage. Awesome stuff.
For me I do HBC, HFC KK, HCB PPP. It has more of a flowing motion to it for me then the other. Might be useful to other pad players who might be having trouble executing it.
Lately, I’ve been getting really frustrated with my matches online. It seems no matter who my opponent is they spend majority of the match staying as far away from me as possible. Now I understand that my opponent is doing the right thing. However, when I have commanding life leads they still maintain an elusive playstyle. One would think that if this type of playstyle isn’t working out you’d adapt to a whole different strategy. It just baffles me how people would spend a match running away most of the time. Especially, when they have characters specialised in mounting heavy offensive attack.
^When they do that just go back to the edge of the screen and build meter by whiffing air command grabs.Theres some turtling thats actually useful with Guy.
If you have the life lead why would you go after them enough to know they’re playing elusively anyways?
Some times I don’t. It just really annoys me when my opponents just will not attack me. Knowing I have a life lead and knowing they will not win unless they do so. It baffles me to see them not changing their strategies at all when the one they’re using isn’t working. It’s not like them sitting on the otherside of the screen is going to frustrate me into making mistakes. Especially when I have a demanding lead over them. I feel even if I win or lose I’m not learning anything about the match up. Other then if my opponent stays away from me they may win or lose. I guess people have a different approach to online play then I do. I feel that online should be an area where you practice different strategies in a variety of situations against a competent opponent. Not to see how many wins you can rack up.
I play Ranked Matches alot not for any recognition with BP, PP, or to show the world how good I am with Guy. I play it for the countless different opponents and their play styles with thier respected characters. Now it seems that my matches in the end ultimately consist of me chasing my opponents across the stage. It’s beginning to be very repetitive and boring. I’m not learning anything from these matches. That’s where I’m getting at. It’s not that I’m having difficulty against a turtling opponent. It’s that no one is playing to learn anymore or trying different strategies. I know I can’t be the only one who feels this way.
Have to agree with this. The problem is I get people who really don’t know why they’re doing what they’re doing yet they still take a round off of me or even flat out beat me.I mean in a laggy online match whos a better character,Ryu or Guy?Regardless of skill level Ryu will have the advantage.Yet the match is 5-5.It’s the same with Gief.
I’ve come to the conclusion that online is just a piece of shit in general. When I play offline tournaments and casuals I put 100% effort into all my games and I feel that my opponents do aswell which makes offline play so fun,I improve there. You know theres nothing to blame but yourself if you lose and you know that lag tactics havent played a part.
