Kick-Punch-Block! Is at it again with our biggest event ever! We present to to you the ‘Extra Life’ UMVC3 Tournament.

Extra Life is a Charity for the Children’s Miracles Network Hospitals. Local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals treat thousands of children each year, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few. So come out and donate and play for an amazing cause!

This event will be a feature of our all day gaming marathon in KPB’s attempt to raise money for Extra Life. For more info please refer to our Facebook even here:

The location is at Clarkson’s Corner in Scarsdale, NY A card game specialty shop where we run weekly casuals every Friday. Come through to that as well if you can. We stream and have setups for multiple games. Magic The Gathering, Yu Gi Oh and Vanguard Tournaments are also held there all the time.

Rules for UMvC3
3 out of 5
4 out of 7 Grand Finals
Double Elimination
Loser can change teams between rounds.
Winner must keep same characters, order, and assists.

Payout Info

Guaranteed $500 Pot Bonus provided by Team KPB

If less than 32 entrants:
1st Place = $300 + 70% of pot
2nd Place = $150 + 30% of pot
3rd Place = $50

If more than 32 entrants:
1st Place = $275 + 60% of pot
2nd Place = $100 + 25% of pot
3rd Place = $75 + 15% of pot
4th Place = $50

$10 Mandatory Venue fee (Spectators and Players)
$10 Marvel Tournament Entry towards Pot.

A portion of venue will go to the Extra Life Charity drive.

PLEASE NOTE

We will start generating Brackets at 4PM SHARP! Please do not call or contact us asking to hold the tournament up for your arrival. Any travel questions please contact us beforehand.

Oh good, bring the WHC crew, but I’d say be as quick as possible about getting there, we finish sign-ups at 4:00 sharp and we are trying to keep to that. Also, to anyone reading, we are accepting requests for vendors.

will there be any team tournament like 2v2 or 3v3?

Probably not, we don’t want to overwhelm the venue with two brackets, unless there is a high demand.

Yea. My plans fell through. Had to switch my weekend for the kids with the ex wife. How’s the atmosphere there if I was to bring my 10 year old son? Honestly though? I mean he can deal with a little cursing and all, but he would be competing cause he plays marvel and is pretty good. Something we do together. I’m thinking about going with him. I figure if it starts at about 4 it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours right?

We welcome kids to come, one of our teammates is 11, in fact. If you come early, he can play casual games as well, maybe get some facepaint or beadwork and such. We have casuals every Friday at the venue, $6 for each head, you get a free drink and snack.
