Kick-Ass Movie Trailer

Oh yeah! Can’t believe I forgot that. I just watched the movie on Christmas.

I noticed the Scott Pilgrim reference as well. When I saw the movie in theaters, I recognized the name because I was starting to become interested in SP when I saw the teaser for the film (like many people, I never heard of it before watching the teaser). My guess is that it was probably a thinly-veiled shout-out to Edgar Wright by Matthew Vaughn (both are British, in case you don’t know).

Speaking of which, the alley that Todd throws Scott into is the same alley used in Kick-Ass (Edgar mentions this in one of the commentary tracks for Scott Pilgrim).

I still haven’t picked up Kick-Ass on DVD yet. I wanted to buy it two weeks ago, but I was surprised to see that Walmart didn’t have it. Instead, I snagged Avatar: The Last Airbender Book One.

i was late to the party on both zombieland and kickass… and honestly imo you can’t put the 2 in the same league. zombieland was meh at best, amusing at times but not really hilarious ever. while kick-ass… well it kicked some fucking ass.

as an aside after watching the movie i figured i could get a laugh by reading some reviews… and yeah Kick-Ass :: rogerebert.com :: Reviews this review had me ROLLING.

“how come nobody told the little girl that the people she is killing are actually dead!?” lol old man just doesn’t get it.

^I remember reading that one, after I saw the movie. The reviews that I thought were the most interesting were the critics that said that they never explained how Hit Girl and Big Daddy funded their operation. Frank D’Amico says it and you see what they did.

Edit:
For anyone who doesn’t know Kick-Ass 2 Balls to the Wall is in print.
