Is there anywhere that has a list of confirms to go into Ammy’s xfactor infinite? I recently put her on anchor position and realized I’m really bad at converting into the infinite unless I get a clean hit or I’m in the corner. I need things like what to do when in xfactor or when xfactor isn’t activated yes, how to convert off throws, okami shuffle, things like that. Help would be appreciated

Here you go

Are you doing w.change L > j.L-H ? As in:

j.3H xx Weapon Change L > j.L-H / s.M-H-whatever

You can also do L > j.L-L-M for when you are too far and the j.H would whiff (way less dmg though):

j.3H xx Weapon Change L > j.L-L-M / s.M-H-whatever

Also:

Oh yeah a couple other infinite related things.

In examples where you hit with a charged j.C(glaive) in XF3 (like 2:05), if you’re low enough (think Glaive B&B) you can hit with a charged qcf+A on the ground. This does good damage & helps greatly in conserving your precious XF3 time.

In examples where you hit with (c.C xx qcf+A) (like 1:12), you can keep repeating the qcf+A before going into the infinite. (it’s a loop, but not infinite, I usually do 3-5 reps depending on HSD/height/character/confidence).
This is easy in the corner, but in midscreen, sometimes you cross up so you have to reverse the motion (It looks cool though, going back & forth, but sometimes even when you reverse the motion, you still go in the same direction). As such, I don’t do it much midscreen. Again, this is to conserve XF time.

Also note that the infinite, the two things I described above, and Ammys vanilla instant overhead (j.A-df.C—see above post) are all possible in slow, with or w/o XF.

But keep in mind, when you are in Slow+XF3, you need to do the combos slower as well, which means more wasted XF time (along w/not building meter). Something to consider when setting up your incoming mixup.

With all that said, here’s my #1 tip: Stop playing her anchor & practice her on point sometimes haha. You’ll need it for when you deal with people who are experienced against her & you run out of XF3.

What is the notations for Ammy-FoF loops combo?

I’ll practice up a bit when I have time but I should be fine overall. I used to play her on point on my Phoenix Wright team so I have experience with her without relying on xfactor.

Are the front page combos still optimal? If not, could someone notate Ammy’s optimal hit confirm combos / air throw / combo off of Vajra? I would really really appreciate it <3

It’s a known fact that Ammy/Strider doesn’t work too well. However, there’s a few combos as well as a video in the thread that Clockw0rk started in the Ammy forums. Try checking that.

My standard Ammy combo(reflector) is the standard launch air combo to qcf+H relaunch into either tk okami or air combo to S knockdown. The definition of unfancy. But since I’m playing almost exclusively xxx doom ammy squads lately, I’m wondering if I call missiles while I do the 2nd launch, giving an otg after the 2nd air combo, if that gives me a sweeter finish than just okami (assuming I don’t want to lvl 3, which is a nice finish if I wanna burn 3)?

I have to test if HSD prevents this, but was thinkin maybe weapon switch to whip, M cold star xx okami? Also possible could weapon switch to glaive, launch, immediate sjS, then df+H down to otg. But for that, not sure if I can land with the otg df+H in time, and if I can, not sure if I can combo/super off it.

Nutshell: how should one finish after launch-relaunch-knockdown if missiles otg at the end?

So I tried getting into marvel a while ago but stopped and now I’m trying again I’ve decided the team I want and I want to learn ammy what is best combo to lear4n for a beginner?

Kinda depends on your team, what is it? Solo its prob the one I referenced in the post before yours:

In reflector, cL(or whatever starter) sM fwd+HHHHHH S sjMMHHH xx qcf+H, land, S sj MMHHHS. As a square 1 beginner, start with that. Once its getting too easy, skip back 3-5 pages and read this thread. Any questions after that and the better players will be happy to address them. But do your homework first.

Sorry for double post, but our wonderful ‘new srk’ won’t let me edit on mobile:

Wondering if, in reflector, I air to air confirm via a jHH xx qcf+H… do I have a better continuation than just launch sjMMHHHS (since I already used my bounce and therefore can’t relaunch? Assuming solo, no XF.

That is the air to air confirm I should be using, no? (At nj height)

I have this combo down:

starting from ammy j.L overhead from midscreen to corner:

jump forward, addf, j.L, j.M, land, cr.L, cr.M, s.H, s.fH, weapon change ddM Glaive, cr.M, s.S, superjump forward, j.M, head stomp H (ground bounce), charged j.H, land, charged thunder edge L, s.H, cr.H + call Bolts, thunder edge L, thunder edge L, s.fH x4 (glaive command normals combo), s.S, Okami shuffle, Raggador at the start/mid part of the ice segment, Strange(get in), s. Impact palm, flame of the faltine, s.Impact palm, fof, s.Impact palm, s.S, superjump forward, (j.Impact palm, fof)x3, j.Impact palm, land, s.IP, fof, s.IP, Mystic Sword H, SOV (900-930k damage)

Only possible if Ammy start from 0.8 bar (Ammy combo charge about 1,25 meter). If Ammy Start from 1,6 bar (if i recall well), Strange charge two meters and you can THC instead of Mystic Sword H + SOV, then grace M x2, EOA, fof (OTG), impact palm (activate EOA), Mystic Sword H (about 1150-1200k damage)

from the basic cr.M, s.H, s.f Hx4, s.S, superjump, j.MMHHH head stomp H, land, s.MH, s.fH, s.S, okami shuffle, raggador at ice segment, Strange can do three relaunchs with 1 fof the first two, then 3 fofs in the last relaunch for like 950-1000k damage.

Wow, I don’t even play ammy strange and I’m impressed by that answer! Nice work.

At the risk of annoyance with a ‘bump,’ serpentaurus mind fielding my question right above your post?

Oh you soooo can.

This is rough notation, I can’t remember the combos off the top of my head (sorry too busy watching CM!). They’re not hard to wrap your head around tho:

in Reflector: short ground combo-S + Doom /\ B w.xGlaive > B xx qcf+C / S /\ B-B (Missles) Charge C > Charge C / j.Charge C / Charge qcf+L xx Shuffle

Easier, but only 2 charge C

in Reflector: short ground combo-S /\ B-B-C-C-C xx qcf+C / Doom+C-S /\ S w.xGlaive ADDF (short) Charge C > Charge C / Shuffle

Still does relatively pitiful damage for the swag tho #ammyproblems

Oh yeah, if you can find them, watch X-Ray match vids. I got the 3 charge C combo from him.

Awesome, thanks! DEF working on this! Love xrays style too. Now to actively look a gift hourse directly in its pretty mouth:

Any thoughts on the question below that one?

-activate pushing luck mode-

mm, well, the combo after of j.HH head stomp H with reflector is very simple because ammy cant change her weapon with s.H > ddM and continue the combo, so the basic s.M > s.H > sf.Hx4 (or maybe ammy jump cancel j.H follow up) and then maybe a TAC is what you should do

the real ammy air confirms are with the rosary/whip, rosary is excellent for taking characters down at sj height because of the massive hitbox, and the confirm is j.H > weapon change ddM > ammy divekick with ground bounce > weapon change ddL when ammy is about to land. You can take characters from above sj height (for example, doom sj > airdash up > fly), and in XF lv2/lv3 Ammy should kill from this confirm, not too much damage out of XF though

Interesting. I just spend the majority of my ammy time in reflector. When you wanna whip confirm as you explained, are you generally swapping to whip before the hit? Or just generally staying in whip stance? I’m sure many extraneous factors color this answer, but I mean in general (if that exists here lol)
