Fair enough but Icarus is in the next smash as a playable character, Shenmue III is possible late in the X360 run, but if Sega comes out with another console (and lets hope its not a mobile phone…better yet a apple-sega hybrid) I’m just going to start playing cards as a perm pastime.

It would be nice to see it come out but I would have to see it before I believe it. I tried to get hyped up about MvC3 and that was a shot of Mugen not the official game . I love the game and still have KI Gold on the 64 right now. I haven’t played it in a long while but playing it brings back so many memories.:wonder:

I think Sabre posted some pretty valid reasons on why KI 2 (and hence, KI Gold as well) sucked a bit too much in comparison to KI 1:

ki2 all around is absolute trash. game bombed so bad in arcades. combo system was the gayest. absolutely everyone had the exact same combo structure. you knew 1 combo for one character, you knew it with every single character(yeah nice depth in the combo system there). every character followed the exact same flow chart for auto doubles. There was no uniqueness with the flow chart between each character. which helped make combo breakers more scrubby. instead of a 33% chance of breaking, you now had a 50% chance cuz punch breaks kick and kick breaks punch. and since the flow charts were so damn easy, you didnt have to really memorize what the opponents auto doubles looked like to know what button to use to break since the flowchart is universal for every character. manual combos were now also breakable so combos were pretty damn useless. Every move is safe in the game when blocked, except like dp style moves, but you cant combo a blocked one since theres instant recovery when they touch ground. only way you can punish opponent is thru rocks/paper/scissors garbage. gotta attack with the right attack during the opponents attack. if you ever seen high level ki, hits hardly ever get landed cuz of free recovery after blocked attack. you’ll hardly ever see a high level match where all the combo enders are done for a full charged ultra and never see full super meter.

the way finishers are done is retarded now too, theres no finisher time, gotta do it when the opponent is still alive and hope they dont block. Then you got jago’s super dragon fireball ender. OMG, if its a scaling stage, you cant get passed it since its one long stream thats the length of one full scaled out stage. that is so fucking stupid. no way to get around it unless you got a teleport. but if jago is against the corner, teleporting wont work either. and you are forced to block the finisher over and over til you die. ROFL. what a great game!!!

i can go on and on why this game is garbage compared to the first. but i wont heh.

I’m playing KI and KI 2 now and enjoying them both!! I was a fan of the series, and would like to see a sequel come out. The original game is the better of them, but 2 is still a fun game imo. It has so many broken combos and glitches it’s hilarious to play at times!!! Gotta love finishing a combo, and then having the CPU break the combo after they get up off the ground!!! CO-CO-CO-COMBO BREAKER!!! LMFAO!!! Classic…
