This is a weird glitch I randomly came across while playing BlazBlue; If you try to send a message to a friend using a keyboard on Xbox Live while BlazBlue is playing, the keyboard spazzes out. The letters barely come out and sometimes it spams the letters. Then if you press backspace, it just spams backspace. At first I thought my keyboard was broken but I’ve tested it out with different keyboards and I always got the same problem. I figured all my keyboards couldn’t all have become faulty in the same exact way. When I went back to the dashboard and tried using the keyboard again, it worked perfectly fine.
I thought it would be a one time-only problem but I always run into the problem again while playing BlazBlue. It’s not that important but it does get really annoying when you want to send even a simple quick message to a friend (why should I use the controller to type when I have a keyboard?) I’m forced to return to the dashboard just to type messages.
So I just came to the conclusion that BlazBlue hates keyboards. I was just wondering if anyone else had run into this problem. It’s on the Xbox 360 by the way. I don’t think there’s a way to fix it. Feel free to test it out. It could just be my console.
I’ve had the exact same annoying problem. I figured it was probably a bug but was too lazy to ask around. I’ve only tried it on one keyboard but if you say it happens with others I believe you. It would be nice if Aksys could fix this.
I don’t think that’s the kind of keyboard he’s talking about. He means a regular usb keyboard plugged into the console.
Oh wow I have this problem too. I was really pissed because I thought my keyboard was broken, but I guess it isn’t.
Though it might be broken NOW after I banged on it like crazy trying to get it to work. :annoy:
It is pretty annoying though, every time I want to send a message I have to either run across the house to my computer, log on to the XBL site and send my message, or waste 20 minutes typing on the 360 with a controller. :mad: Hope this gets fixed soon somehow.
Yeah I was pissed too, thinking that my keyboard was broken. I was like, “Yo, who the hell has been messing with my keyboard?! I hope my little brother didn’t freakin’ spill water on this!” It was a relief to find out that it was just a bug in the game itself. And I was talking about USB keyboards. I don’t know about the little controller keyboard attachment thingy and whether it has the same problem or not.
I know most people don’t use USB keyboards on their 360 but I’m sure everyone should be having this problem. I’m hoping a simple update would fix the problem but I don’t know if Aksys realizes it.
Using a laptop is your best bet. Though if i keep my laptop too close I’ve actually managed to forget I’m playing a game and start typing an IM to a friend once or twice. I lost to a Tager last night because of it. Look away for once second and get 720d.
