I know how you feel. I had my shot at a first SF tournament here Tokyo for the Tougeki preliminaries. It was a 2 on 2 style tournament so I guess that helped having partner, but at the same time, I felt pressure to not let my partner down after he beat the first guy. After we were knocked out, I was so disappointed with my performance and immediately went to the nearest arcade and did so much better without the pressure.
Actually act like you should be there, and be confident that you practiced enough to win. If you go in thinking you’re going to win, then you’re going to win. Don’t mistake what I said for being cocky, you just have to believe in yourself and expect high place finishes. Once you finally do this and win your first tournament, it only get easier and easier.

I think the ability to get used to pressure is something that marks pro players. I know in tournaments I make the same stupid mistakes, throw things out I never would, because I get nervous.
I think Daigo was asked about this, and he simply said he used to get dreadfully nervous when he first started, but over time became more calm.
So that’s your answer. Just play more in “stressful” situations.
