Ken should be able to cancel a raw run into normals a few frames after it starts up so it can be used as a footsie tool.

I was under the impression he already could, or is there a set time where he can cancel?

Ken cant instantly do a normal after the run but its not as bad as I though after watching a few more vids. If ken does a reversal normal after the run I dont think you can react to it but I need to do some testing.

Sooooo TC knocks down now?

Yeah I think somebody found an infinite. They could have found another way to deal with it, this is going to nerf his damage a little. Ken can cancel his run without pressing a button now though.

I think ken could do cr.lp TC run cr.lp TC. Why else would they make is knock down? At 2:44 that dude stops the run without pressing any normals, this wasnt possible before.

No Ken was only saw linking n.hp run into Cr.lp. Not b.hp run Cr.lp

But canceling run with Normans seems new

Momochi did TC->cr. LP in a vid back in the Evo version. TC knocking down is a pretty sizable nerf unless they really improved something else. I did notice in that vid Ken did cr. MK->Run Throw and it beat out a reversal of some type from Necalli. Necalli is so slow though not sure if that means any improvements to the run.

It’s too weak. If anything Nerf the hit stun so that it won’t be possible to infinite

It looks like it juggles, so you can still get a shoryuken or super after it. Just no run combos

He did EX SRK which always juggles. His other shoryukens don’t juggle. Having to spend meter to combo from our TC would be way to weak especially since it is unsafe without spending meter on EX Fireball. NOW if I can run then do a b.FP into cross under mixup then I’ll be ok with it.

At 5:43 ken did TC into a HP shoryuken so it still works.

Street Fighter 5 August Build Changes

• Kara throws have been removed.
• Light to medium combos have been removed.
• Bison’s flame is now a quarter circle back input.
• Bison’s cr. HP is now a Crush Counter.
• Ken’s back, st.MP, st.HP target combo now knocks down.
• New sound effects for V-Triggers.
• Necalli gains armor on certain EX-attacks.
• Birdie’s V-Trigger activation is now an anti-air.
• Nash teleport is nerfed, some combos are not possible anymore

nah, Hard SRK is juggling after TC now. It actually looks like it might be a good situational anti-air as well.

Man, we really need this build already, why Ken wasn’t one of the first character reveals I don’t know lol…killing me not be able to play him in beta!

Wonder if they changed juggle properties on FP SRK or if the TC just has something like a universal juggle property. You couldn’t do Jab DP Trade->FP DP or EX DiveKick->FP DP or anything like that but it combos from TC now. Wonder if air resets are possible and if RH Hurricane still combos.

Edit: ewwwww…TC -> FP DP now switches sides in the corner putting yourself in the corner if you do it.

Yeah that’s not cool at all I’ll just have to use mp dp after tc in the corner. But I still believe it will get tweaked throughout development.

It doesn’t look like it floats high enough for a jab dash/run under reset mixup sadly
