Yeah, but you both have to be online at the same time to do that.
I was only talking about the follow feature, which, as far as I’m aware, only shows you replays of uploaded ranked wins…
Peace,
G.

Ah well yeah, but originally I meant that we could get together, join someone’s room and watch their replays. someone wants to show their stuff, we leave first lobby. Search for JoontheBaboon channel, and start watching his stuff. But yeah follow feature only shows uploaded ranked wins (which ruins the suspense of the match since you always know the guy you follow is gonna win). =/
Oh ok, cool.
So if I don’t open my channel and save the matches to my play list, than people can’t search me or watch my Endless Matches?
I am new (this is the first SF game I’ve played) and ultrabad. I can’t even hit this basic combo. I can get out the C. LK > C. LP every time, but I can’t add on the C. MK. Literally, I haven’t combo’d these three moves A SINGLE TIME.
Does anyone know of a video that goes through the most basic Ken combos? Or if it’s simple, could someone explain it to me?
basic combos you should learn:
1)c.lp > c.lp > heavy shoryu
2)c.lk > c.lp > heavy shoryu
3)c.lk > c.lp > cr. mk > heavy tatsu or ex tatsu ( if the opponent is too far, then instead of ending with tatsu you can do ex hadouken.)
4)c.lk > c.lp > s.lp > cr.mk > heavy or ex tatsu
5) c.lk > c.lp > s.lp > cr.hk ( getting the cr.hk is a little difficult but very useful for getting knockdowns.)
6) c.lk > cr.lp > cr. hp > heavy shoryu ( this one is a one frame link when you do the cr.lp > cr.hp and is difficult when first starting, its all about timing but does a good amount of damage. You can also end with tatsu or ex tatsu with this combo.) Sooner or later you will be looking to learn this combo so might as well start now man lol. timing is your best friend. Also, look up plinking, it will help you majorly with hitting those combos with cr.mk and cr.hp. good luck.
@Touchdown Thanks for the link
@maikeru671 Thanks for the list. I’m gonna read the execution guide Touchdown posted and then get to working learning those combos.
no prob man thats what we are here for.
dude actually for combo #3 they dont have to be too far, they will recover in time to block the hadouken if they are far enough, its better to just use ex tatsu.
Right!
Thx. Whew, I troll a lot online so I’m glad people aren’t watching that.
I’ve seen a few…
Peace,
G.
Welcome! It’s all rhythm-based when it comes to links. So C. LK > C. LP would be in the same rhythm, than a slight pause, than press C. MK and it should combo. If you have any further questions, please post in the stickied (at the top of the Ken forums) Ken G’eneral Discussion Thread.
I’ll be moving this thread there tomorrow.
start with these in the order i put it. its how i started and from doing those easy combos i got a timing for combos in general. now i can pretty much pull off most (not all) combo’s without difficulty.
if cr.lk>cr.lp>cr.fp>fp.shoryuken is too hard, try cr.lk>st.lp>cr.fp>fp.shoryuken (only works on standing opponents for the most part)
hello im trying ken today on xbox and i feel really like a difference EX-Tatsumaki Senpuu-Kyaku (Hurricane Kick) is not the same on the ps3 , on ps3 its easier to do it like a overhead on xbox u has to be more precise or otherwise u stay in the air.
cane someone to try it out?
why is comboing easier to do with ken, when the counter is on in the training room? try like the 24 trial its easier to execute when the counter is on, is it me or the game

There’s a slight frames difference on PS3 & 360. It’s not that Ken is different, it’s that the game does not hold the same timings. You’ve got to adjust accordingly, that’s all. I’m surprised that you didn’t know, it’s been widely spread and known. I’m answering just out of kindness, you better look shit up next time.
It’s just you.
So,I was just now messing around in the lab doing kara moves and I just kara’d ken’s dash. Has anybody else posted that before? I can’t seem to find anything about it nor have I heard of it before. It seems like it’s really useful and makes ken’s dash go at least one normal step more length than f+mk. Seems like it would be good for using as a mix up tool to go with f+mk at right distances.
EDIT: also, when spaced right it can be used to put yourself at perfect kara throw/cr.mk/sweep range.
