Soooo after watching this video that Air and Behrudy did on Trade OS Ultra I went into the lab myself and man the things I found. Using Bison as the dummy with turbo cr.lk here’s what I found.
Hard to confirm but it looks like cr.jabx2 > cr.fierce(TRADE OS U2) xx fireball does work. More likely to work in the corner. I’ll ask my roommate to help me out with the U2 OS.
The really interesting things I learned are with target combo actually! Remember how they added that delay window for st.mp > st.hp? Well if you time it just right you’ll get a counter hit setup much like the st.fierce setup I came up with awhile back but even better. The Trade with bison’s cr.lk with our st.fierce from target combo gives us AT LEAST +8frames since I could combo sweep. So the breakdown.
Block: TC xx Fireball, safe outside of corner.
st.mp of TC hits: godlike reactions = uppercut damage or fireball to be safe and fadc cr.mk xx tatsu for extra damage.
St.mp blocked, st.hp hits clean: same as above.
St.mp blocked, st.hp TRADES: +8frame follow up.
Haven’t tried Trade OS U2 with target combo, I was just excited about this target combo trade business I had to share it with you guys. Been a looong time, but I still haven’t given up on this game or Ken so I’m in it 'til the end. Peace guys!
Here is something I found, If you enter cr.LK > cr.LK/cr.LP > cr.LP > st.LP quickly on Cody the st.LP will be +8 on hit 100% of the time
I can land this about 85% of the time, this is also the first night I tried it.

trade into U2 is sexy and it works … Ive tried it before.
but if you register the second hit of the target combo as a counter hit , u still wont be able to combo after it. unlike a clean standing fierce counter hit which is a +4.
so, i just got my new fightstick and i’m picking up ken again as my main (i dropped ken temporarily because i find him unplayable on pad… no kara throws, cant do proper dp motions and all his other kara tools are really hard to do consistently on pad)
anyways, what’s the trick behind auto correct dp on wakeup? i can do it about 50% of the time on very obvious crossups, but is there a way to get it consistently when you’re 100% certain your opponent will try to cross you up?
Wiggle the stick from db to df repeatedly, it’s easier said than done though.
