Keep Madcatz TE Home Panel?

Hey guys,
So I just bought a brook universal PCB for my old PS3 TE Round 1. I bought it because of watching the installation video on youtube by Jon Bonilla. (and I need a stick for DBFighterZ)
Since I have a TE with a home panel, (I just remembered as I have everything apart), I have to solder connections to use it. Leading me to find the Gummomods replacement panel. I plan to purchase but I did have a thought of removing the header and adding new buttons(Xbox/PS) along with a new plexi cover.
Anyone have a TE with a removed home panel? Its not like the home panel is needed right?

As long as you add a PS/Xbox button you should be fine. That Gummods replacement home panel is really nice especially since you already have headers as it’ll give you a ton of extra aux uses.

After some thinking, Ill probably solder to my existing or buy a gummod panel. My brook pcb doesn’t have the extra headers and not sure where I can buy them along with wire harnesses to fit.

I’m pretty sure the gummods replacement turbo panel comes with headers so you should be good there.

If you want to read more into it this is the thread for it

I have my home panel all soldered to my ufb. I just bought some resistors so I can have the turbo leds light up on button presses. Also if you want player leds I would recommend getting the x360 panel or the gummod panel.
