TZ has a shuffled lamer list of combos. Care to put good staple combos together, with and without EWGF’s, Kombo? Bah my EWGF won’t go passed 70%, but I’m slowly improving.
Few tips to me to drop…
I’m sure everyone has heard about imagining the 2 before the d/f to get it on the same frame. It helps.
Personally, I do f n df+2 when in a juggle. I know it’s not the best way to practice in the long run for wd EWGF’s and such…but hey, if it’s accuracy and guaranteed, go for it.
Picture the motion as a Juggernaut EQ motion from marvel, with a neutral thrown in there.
Timing for pressing 2 is different depending on what motion you do and how fast you do the motion. This can be a hassle at the start, at least it was for me. Learning your timings for each EWGF tool can help a lot. For example, learn the timing for 2 when you WD EWGF, and for the ones in combos (the fast one).
I sort of picture my hands moving towards each other when I want the EWGF. It somehow helps me mentally, and increases my accuracy lol.
Even with all that, I’m struggling to get to 85-90%. Gonna grind out the EWGF practice.
Here’s another life saving tip I just came across. I’m really close to 90% with this…here goes.
If you have a square gate joystick, use down on your joystick and quickly roll/tilt over to DF. Press 2 when you hit D, and it should work and play out as df+2 on just the frame you need it to.
It seriously takes some god-like execution to pull of the CH d/f+2, EWGF launch consistently. I’ve practiced the combo since I got Tekken 6 and I can only get the EWGF to launch maybe once every 20-25 tries, lol. I was actually able to get a launch earlier today while in a match, but I was so surprised that I pulled it off, that I didn’t even finish the combo.
I thought I was gonna drop Kaz this time around but after foolin with him more, I just can’t. Dude is still too pimp.
though i’m curious to know some followups after B!. Only thing I really have right now is d/f+3,2,1. But i’m trying to dabble with shit and coming up short.
I’m not sure which ones are the most damaging, but the most common post B! follow ups I have seen are:
d/f+3, d/f+1,2
3,1, f+3
b+3,1, DEWGF
Hellsweep
d/f+3,2 or d/f+1,4 to get them to a wall
ff+3_f+4, oki
For oki game, Kazuya players either stomp or use b+2,4. If they don’t tech, stomp will hit them but b+2,4 will whiff. If they do tech, stomp will miss, but if you did b+2,4, you can get them into another juggle. Use any Bound move after b+2,4. I see d/b+2 B! d/f+3,2 < 1 a lot.
I’d just like all of you to know that there hasn’t been a consistent mishima player (dj/kaz) user in the US (T4 doesn’t count) since the beginning of the time and that you’re wasting your time.
Your wasting your time posting this trash.
It takes those amount of years to see someone come out and be consistient. Kazuya is not a character that you can be JUST good with… thats JUST not enough
'Cause EWGF owns your life. I’ve been practicing a little with Kazuya and realized he’s pretty basic to use and great in Tekken 6. He’s one of those characters that I won’t forget how to use if I move on to practice with other characters because his combo inputs are simple and easy to remember.
He’s powerful, he’s got a good amount of launchers and moves that let you lift your opponent off the ground, he can wave dash, he’s got electricity, electric Shoryuken’s everywhere…
I don’t know, Kazuya is just awesome. Who doesn’t like Kazuya? He’s on the cover of Tekken 6. He’s the original Devil, man.
it’s not just because of that. Half the time I can’t land one cuz my opponent’s played against Kazuya before. What DOES pwn is his uf + lk. It comes out fast, knocks down, and is one of his best weapons against capoeira shenanigans besides rp +lp, his df + lp series, and the old df + lk into df + lp, rp. And remember kids: when they back off too far, don’t pursue: eye beam that shit down.
In other words, U+1+2 with the Neo Sunglasses equipped, right. They need to boost the power of that attack once Tekken 6: Dark Rebellion / Bloodline Resurrection comes out, LOL. It’s freakin’ awesome for an unblockable. Scott Summers.
Man, I’ve really got to stop EWGF spamming like a dumb ape.
When I was at a local arcade a few days ago, playing BR, I mirror matched another Kaz player a few times, and I couldn’t beat him. He couldn’t do EWGF at all, while I had mine down almost consistent at maybe 80 to 90 percent, yet he still got about 7 games off of me. All he used was CH d/f+2 and twin pistons as juggle starters.
I have learned: just because you can do EWGF consistently, it doesn’t mean you are good. I am such a noob.
I’ve recently realized that too. I thought if I could master the EWGF I’d be all good, but I was wrong. I still try to execute it from time to time anyways, hoping it’d counter hit because it gives me a sense of accomplishment when it connects. Plus I like when my opponent is launched really high into the air because all I think of is, “free”.
Here’s a flashy-looking scrub combo I made up after a Rising Uppercut:
F, N, D/F+2, U/F+3, B!, F, N, D/F+1, 3
I’m not sure how much damage this does because I’m not at home right now but I’ll post it up when I can. You have to execute the Dragon Uppercut to Middle Kick fast though.
I think I might wanna start using Kazuya more often now. Like seriously. I’m having more success with him than with Devil Jin and Jin (which are my main fun characters). He’s so good and simple to use. Like Ryu.
