For crouching EWGFs I do :df:, :f:, N, :df: + HP. Very comfortable motion, but yeah use what you find best to do crouching EWGFs as they are just as important as standing ones.

ahh yes, i have no problem doing a naked ewgf from crouching position but i have a heck of a hard time doing it in combos.
for example: cr.mp, cr.hp, ewgf
i try to do cr.mp, :df:, cr.hp, :f:, N, :df: + hp
but i keep getting that stupid qcf+hp special move due to the ridiculous input leniency in this game.
the negative edge on the cr.hp gives me that qcf special move and its annoying.
any advice? just practice?

ah i think with all of kaz’ ewgf combos it revolves around where you place the HP’s since it has juggle of 4 depending on what you want as a finisher super etc so the 4th juggle always has to be hp to get the most out a combo
Now the pain to deal with will be doing ewgf’s whilst running in not exactly fastest move on the planet, timing normals is a bitch already will need practice.
Can you test if you where you can follow up with a tag cancel in this combo i assume tag cancelling the final ewgf will impossible to followup with a Heavy normal (scaling is at 10% by this stage so getting 9/10 dmg per hit becomes important tbh)
Are you sure this works from a midscreen launcher?
I’ve been testing it and it works in the corner, but midscreen, the cr.HP after the first ewgf whiffs.
This works midscreen after launcher EWGF, st.MP xx EWGF, s.HP xx EWGF, EWGF.

Yes, this works anywhere midscreen, just like s.HP xx EWGF, EWGF, cr.HP xx EWGF, s.HP xx EWGF, EWGF works midscreen. If you are not connecting cr.HP after EWGF, you are pressing it too late. I like to plink cr.HP as I get it a lot more consistently that way, but use whatever method works best for you.

How do you time the incoming EWGF? i cant find any pointers to tell when to start buffering or press the attack and i keep whiffing any tips?
Final thing can you quickly confirm this works in the corner? since i feel main problem is the distance kaz is running may mess things up, ur vid confirms it works mid screen and when you are in the corner

I’m just saying…I finally finished all of Kazuya’s missions! I didn’t really believe that I could do mission 20, but I did! Now it’s time to try and learn how to implement those combos in real time.
Works in the corner, but you gotta use cr.HP after the first ewgf, if you use st.MP you’ll juggle too high and go underneath your opponent. Just practice the incoming EWGF. All about how it feels. don’t try the motion too early. It’s not particularly easy.
The much more reliable launcher combo is cr.MP, st.HPxxEWGF, st.HPxxEWGF,EWGF. IMO st.HP is the easiest move to cancel into EWGF. The difference in damage between this combo and the one starting with EWGF is only around 20 I think.
The first cr.MP bounces the opponent upwards, allowing you to follow with st.HP for the easy cancel into EWGF.

Most trial combos are impractical and shouldn’t be used in actual matches. I’d suggest you instead focus on getting your EWGF and EWGF juggles down, you will be much more effective that way.
I feel mission mode gives you something to build on. Take mission 20 with Kaz, that’s the stepping stone to comboing into Mist Step. From there when you experiment and realise that you can link into his Cr.Hp off a Cr.mp you can do even more. I’ll still trying to learn how to EWGF.

funnilly enough i can barely cancel of st.hp for ewgf haha my cr.hp is 100% so that is perfect for me lol my execution is funny like that. the 20 damage really adds up once the scaling gets retarded i have a theoretical 714 damage combo if it stayed in the 600 region it would probs be better doing team super.
One thing ive been interested in is how much meter do kazuya combos build since his ewgf goods stack 6-8 clean hits i assume quite a bit and ive been wondering if meter actually scales in build up can anyone confirm for me?
I remember checking that s.HP xx EWGF, EWGF, s.MP xx EWGF, s.HP xx EWGF, EWGF built 2/3 of a bar. Maybe I tested that off a jump in, but I don’t think I did. Around that area in general though
hmm so if it builds 2/3 of a bar you could theoretically build another bar from kaz alone in a team combo if he comes in 2nd this is good
Looks like you can get 2 hits when tag cancelling out of the final ewgf. I got low forward into uppercut and then you can bring in Kazuya again for the ewgf,st.MPxxewgf,st.HP ewgf ewgf or for his easy tag in combo like the video below.

You can do Cr. hp with Ryu, after the last EWGF.

Hit the first five, cancel into ryu for his ex srk which keeps the opponent grounded
for Kazuya to be switched back in for final 5.
