Again, as a host, it would be better to change the tourney to default settings. If you look at it through our eyes, we are spending money to go over there and we want to play our best. I don’t want to drop a bill or two for a trip over there and not be able to play my best because of nonstandard game settings. Not having the game set to default settings is shortchanging us, you know what I mean?

What 32 or even 9th outta i dunno how many nationwide isn’t good enuff!?! What kind of absurd comment is that. How’s about some of ya’ll going to the next EVO and struttin your skills? Let’s see if any of you make it past the pools. C’mon the only people to make it past the pools and far into the tourneys are from Oahu. Oh and it’s not like we all don’t know each other…everyone that has made it far is in our group of gamers…it’s not like some random person that we don’t know.
I mean seriously on one hand, Ben Lee, you’re showing respect acknowledging that PSX and others are good players that you would like to play. Yet on the other hand you seem to be totally disreguarding their preference (not need) to play on national tournament settings. We actually used to play on the higher speeds at Pearlridge Funz, but after we found out that the tourneys ran in the mainland were on default settings we forced Fun Factory to change the settings…so it’s not like we have never played on a higher speed setting. It’s mainly because it’s better “practice” to play on the nationwide tournament settings that’s all.
Now I wish I could go but I can’t…at this rate I would put alot on PSX, EB, or HR but I would even let Ducky go first and put money on him (less money, of course) and I don’t even really know him.
I wouldn’t even put money on myself, man…

its not that much faster its tab bit faster than default. its not to the point button bashers have a chance, they get killed becasue the speed is not to the point you cant comprehend whats going on. button bashers that use vega still get countered let alone get parry or JDed

the game at default settings… and standard tournament rules,
none of these “random character only” rules.

Hey everyone! KK here. My first time here, so first and foremost, I’d like to introduce myself. I’m a kauai CVS2 player on kauai, simply named K. 
I’ve been reading up on these fourms and well… there is alot of valid points. I do beleive that we should turn the speed down to tourny rules. Why fight what has been established for so long? I’ll try to talk to the fun factory peeps to see if we can switch that. Shouldn’t be too hard lol. Next up…
There is alot of negitive energy coming off of these posts… well, valid at some points… but none the less, all ben is trying to say is that we, the kauai CVS2… people (lol), want to connect with other people. Plain and simple. We are a small island, true, but we too have big ideas. We want to test our skill and possibly colaborate and learn from other players that have reached higher player skills. Money and all of that really don’t matter. Truthfully, all we want is the respect. Win or lose, we simply want to colaborate and become better so maybe one day, we might have a shot at other higher tournys or maybe even change the views . Either way, hope these clears up things and settles any flames that might have been insited. Peace everyone!
