i heard my friend allyn got beat with this k groover, i thought it was sick, the only good k groover i know is KK. im looking forward to the matches. this tournament well be taped like all the others. just to let you guys know the speed of the game has been turned up do to slow is boring. Jding is kinda hard but doable hope yall show up. hope yall are ready for some counter attacks roll cancels(not much) and some n groove in your face offense courtsey by the tounament one champ rayzan (he’s from oahu) tech for funfactory. remember anyone can be beat. if you guys need help with anything msg me back peace yall bEn ^_0 the only three time champ. rules and details check out www.myspace.com/uniquecat
Could you change the speed to tourney speed? I dunno what that is offhand, but someone else prolly knows. Just wondering, but which fun factory does rayzan play at on oahu?
Tourney speed is 3, tourney damage is 2.
we are not gonna turn down the speed because JDing and parrying is to easy on a slow speed. rayzan rarely plays on oahu but when he does its at pearlridge. we always played on afaster speed so best bet get used to it before you come or use s groove the dodge has a got a good time frame.
You trying to turn CVS2 into MVC2 or something? You guys must be too pro if you can JD and parry everything like that.
OK, so I’m just trying to clarify something. The speed on your machine that you have is NOT tourney worthy by normal CVS2 standards. Is this correct? Ducky stated the tourney speeds/damage used by all US tourneys. How different are your settings?
It’s a typical scrub mentality. “We can’t deal with certain things so we’ll handicap everybody.” It’s kinda like going to a console tournament where MAS sticks aren’t allowed. Admittedly it’s harder to beat a scrub at a scrub’s game but what can you do . . . obviously nobody is getting through Kaua`i’s thick collective skull so I’ll just out and say it - you’re all a bunch of scrubs living in your own little scrubby world. Doublespeak seems to be the norm in your little scrubby world where on the one hand you want more competition but on the other hand you want to give yourselves as much of an advantage doing so. I won’t name any names but ***P***erhaps ***S***omebody e***X***ceptional will show up and prove what scrubs you are. If you truly think you guys are the hot shits you imply then bet the man some money.
If you are holding a tourney, might as well make it standard tourney rules and format… especially if you are calling it Evolution Kauai or whatever. That’s great if you guys can play on the highest speed and damage settings, but I’m behind HR 100% on default settings for the machine. If we are going to spend our time and money to go out there and play you guys, it would be in your best interest to play the game how the rest of the world plays it, or else you won’t be able to gauge your skills correctly nor will you transistion well at tournaments outside of Kauai.
Ooooh I really wanna go now. on that speed psx’s vega would tear shit up. cant rush down a rc…and i think no matter what eb and hr will jd whatever they got! Too bad i have classes for a new job (if i accept it) on that day i would be down to go fo sh0!
fuck you dude if you’re really that good you would adjust. if i go to oahu and play, i wont be a little bitch and complain how slow that shit is and we dont think were the hot shit homie, we just like the game, i never said i was better than anyone dude.
:lame:
i agree but we like it that way. damage level is the same but the speed is a little faster thats all.
the speed on a slow game like this can mean alot to somebody who’s been playin on default setting for awhile… just thought i add this in… you shouldnt expect the world to change for you just because you guys are the only people to play on this speed… just thought i give my 2cents…
whats a jd??? i dont know about you but i only play ex1 groove
so…anyone want to play for money?? we can have like 3 on 20 or something hahaha
Ernest is real good, man. I’m sure he could adjust… but the question I have for you is, should he have to? Don’t say shit like “if you’re really that good, you’ll adjust!”… it’s fine that you like the game faster, but the deal with it is that the slight change in speed is enough to throw off how the game plays. Being the host, it would be courteous for you to adjust the game to the settings that are standard pretty much across the globe when it comes to tourneys.
It’s hard for me to take you guys seriously even with a little change like that - not that it would affect me much, since I’m not that good anyway, but if you want more competition and plan to attend bigger tournaments, you should keep in mind that playing at the standard settings would only help you.
Let’s be honest here - it’s not a little change. Again, this is typical of scrubs playing in their own world. You can see it in a lot of Kane`ohe people - makes me ashamed that I came from that side of the island. They play the game out with themselves and start creating these scrub house rules because they lack the interest in actually exploring the game more - much less actually looking at those Evo videos they claim they have.
Kauai no ka
oi? Hah - laughable.
Just my two cents -
Kauai - If you guys like the game so much and wanna play competitively, conform to tournament standards.
I think it’s a waste of time for Oahu players to go down to play if you don’t wanna change it to tournament standards with the correct settings.
look dude, we like that speed, i asked if we could turn the speed down, they said no ok deal with it. i aint gonna turn down the speed because 4 or 5 dudes say so, you are dealing with a lot of dudes here on kauai understand that. if other cats on this site flex my shit or dis me because of the speed go fuck yourselves, its obvisous you’re never gonna fuck anything anyway, you’re to worried about the speed of a video game. im not begging you guys to come i just thought it will nice to face some great players. Ducky and the other dudes that showed respect this is not pointed to you because you showed me respect and handled this speed issue cool, but for you other fucks go fuck a joystick and get off my dick, we dont need that shit in this tourney anyway, know wonder guys you aint pros yet, if you want to be keep dreaming because you guys bitch way to much.
This is why living on outer islands is unhealthy for kids. I’m sure you just turned 17 and think you know more than everybody else in the world. You coming in here bragging about being 3 time champ on an outer island and posting whack tournament formats and game settings and expecting everybody else to conform to your shitty standards is hilarious.
Your 3 time champ business is worthless. The island of Kauai has a population of about 60,000 people which makes up about 5 percent of the entire population of the state of Hawai
i. Kauai is small. Kaua
i is insignificant. Kauai doesn't matter. I bet you haven't even seen a 3 lane freeway. You probably haven't seen a building taller than 2 stories. Heck you probably haven't heard of djb-13. That's how backwards and isolated Kaua
i is.
Sure, there’s about 4 or 5 players in Oahu posting about the speed, letting you know that the entire world plays on the default settings - but us 4 or 5 players are the only people who even know you guys exist. Not to slam on you guys in any way, but I’m being very straight to the point. Listen to Ernest, but don’t get offended by how he says it - just listen to what he is saying.
Again, it’s fine you like to play on a higher speed setting, but in the long run, you’re going to be better competition if you play at the speed everyone in the world plays at. Oh, as for being pros, there are a handful of people on Oahu who are very famous in the gaming community. Yes, only a handful, but compared to the amount of players we have here? I would say Oahu is doing fine in that department. I didn’t even know people played on Kauai.
Speaking in four letter words does not help you validate why you are not playing at the world standard settings for tournaments. It just spreads a negative image of yourself.
Oahu players suck. No one good plays there. Oahu players are scrubs who want to be California players. But would loose to any good srk player on evolution dvd. Kauai CVS2 champ will win. Good luck Ben.
