I never understand why people bitch about remakes…I mean you dont have to see it…No matter how crappy this remake may be, its not going to change the fact how awesome the original…
People want to see fresh ideas, not something redone for a quick buck. Some remakes are better than the original, but remaking something that’s a classic or is obviously a great movie makes no sense. It’s like someone deciding to remake E.T., it’s just stupid.
You’re right, you don’t have to go see it, but it’s the principle. Hollywood will do anything to keep money in their pockets and when it’s not feeling fat enough, they dig into their archives and remake movies instead of brainstorming for something new.

This is retarded. Karate Kid was a rare gem because it was a shitty concept that actually genuinely turned out awesome. I mean shit, Mr. Miyagi got an oscar nomination for his role. It was like the teenage version of Rocky and will probably be timeless.
Anyways, not to say that it won’t turn out good or whatever. But the stupid amount of remakes as of late is ridiculous. That and it’s not like the current generation couldn’t relate with the original. Remaking Rear Window into Disturbia was at least a little logical. What’s next? Back to the Future?

People have a right to bitch about remakes. Hollywood wonders why people don’t pay for movies any more. This is why. You turn out shit after shit. Then, when that fails, you start pumping out remakes. People don’t want to pay $8.50 for something they’ve already seen. If you’re gonna do a remake, do a remake of a shitty film at least. That way, you can actually improve it. Not ruin a classic.

I’m not particularly crazy about the Resident Evil games, and find Mike Epps bearably funny in most of the roles he is in.
