Oops, sorry, that’s a typo… lol
I can connect 2A, not 2B.
In jap version, B connects just fine after kasha’s first hit, but I can’t manage to connect it in this new american version.
I can do a combo very similar to that on this vid, but I cannot connect a standing B after Kasha… Seems that this stagger state had it duration changed or I just unlearned how to combo, lol.
Actually…you know what? Youre definitely right? It doesn’t work…only thing that works is 2A and 5A… WTF just tried it in training…
I think from stagger 2A, 5B, 5C can continue into that same combo though…I need to check it out.
Also just in case anyone is still wondering. 2B does work in the Megacrash loops. The timing is a lot more strict and the hitbox has definitely been reduced but it is certainly possible. Just delay it a little and adjust your timing.

Thank you for the vid, It’s nice to see megacrash combos possible again, and all you lose is a couple of weak hits, which is pretty good.
that combo we talked about before is possible if you 2A, 5B, 5C and son on after kasha, seems timinig is a little more strict than in that version, but I could do it after a couple of tries.
Someone defiantly has to lay out Karas’ beginner to advanced bnbs/combos like in the other sub-forums, that video is good, but it’d also be helpful to have this page to refer to…
Eh, in general you’re right but if you have tons of red bar and you know you can take the person from 80% to 0% with a baroque + megacrash combo why not do it? It’ll certainly do more than any lvl 3 super that I know of. I know what you’re saying though, It’s not wise to do Megacrash combos for the hell of it that’s for dam sure…wasting 2 bars for a minimal red life baroque + megacrash combo is questionable…but if you’re at 2 bars (knowing you won’t be at lvl 3 within the combo you’re going for to go for his other high damage alternative) and you have tons of red life and wanna get in a good chunk of hits for 2 bars then I say go for it.
Of course the intent is to finish off that character, otherwise you just kinda f*cked yourself over because guess what, you’re Karas and the next combo will certainly kill you.
In general tourney play though, from what I’ve seen most Karas’ follow the stock strategy. They pretty much keep their bars for defensive megacrash just incase they get hit (because we all know one combo on Karas = instant 50% or more). If things go perfectly for them and they end up not needing it for whatever reason, they expend the bars offensively to finish the game faster or secure the win with a super long combo, usually involving offensive MC. As it always was and will be, megacrash combos are situational at best. You shouldn’t do them just 'cause.
I actually think that rather than using megacrash offensively now, why don’t you just combo into a DHC instead? His disc super is actualy really powerful (15 000b) damage is more than Zero’s giga attack, and about the same as a PTX chainsaw super. it can easily combo into things like Yatter-2’s charged heart super and such. That’s 2 meter and you didn’t have to sacrifice any life or baroque to do damage that would otehrwise have been ridiculously scaled anyway.
Hey guys, thanks for all the help so far. I’ve got another silly question to ask.
So far out of his bnb this is how far I am a2 x 3, 5b, 6c xx chain, wallbounce, 5b, 6c xx rekka
How can I get that overhead to combo after the rekka?
It’s really weird, I’m usually pretty good with execution in any game I play and out of all the characters that I’ve messed with karas seems to have the hardest combos for me to do in tvc.
no, it can combo. It’s just very hard and you need to input it especially fast. There are videos of him doing this and it’s been proven possible by one of the players on this board.
That’s awesome, thanks for letting me know! So now I’m off to practice it in Training Mode against an Auto-Guard CPU to get it right, since evidently I never have before.
And, what’s Rekka? I cannot recall seeing that in his command list.
Just a thing. Can you do an infinite with the rekka ? cuz i can do 5A 5B 2B 5C (first hit) 63214C wall bounce 2B 5C Rekka (the overhead with his Kasha’s) then 5A 5A 3C j.ABC , but can’t you do Rekka -> 5A 5B 5C Rekka again = infinite ? Thanks.
(Plz sorry for my bad english…)
Edit: I tried, but Chun-Li didn’t bounce again, so you can’t infinite. =/
