If he attacks the wrong way, standing A hits behind him and you can do it earlier. You just have to wait for him to turn around to link after.

so ive noticed you can jump cancel Kara’s ground dash, and i know it goes through stuff like projectiles, etc.
does anyone know if he retains his invincibility frames if he jump cancels his dash? (IE like Slayer in GG)
if so, thats cool. wonder if you can do stuff like backdash while charging jump cancel forward A/B/C and have it go through anything.

Standing A whiffs against most crouching characters. It’s generally too dangerous to use it unless it hits in specific match ups.
The unblockables themselves can’t be AG’ed, as far as I know anyway, but yeah the set ups can. Basically if Polymar is AG’ed they can probably get away. Might be a different situation in the corner, but I don’t have anyone to help test right now.
I learned something about the 623A =D
Granted it’s generally safe, especially against an AG happy opponent, because it still CAN be punished on regular guard. Ayway! If you succesfully strike with 623A, you can crossup, or rather “crossunder” the opponent to switch which sides your opponent has to block. Safe against an aerial guarding opponent =]
If you dash through and normal the wrong way, empty cancelling into any special will turn Karas around so it executes facing the opponent. Doesn’t necessarily mean whiffing stand a is any better, but could save Karas some life.
Couple of things I found playing around with Karas in training mode.
If you do the chain’s C wall throw followup and cancel into the level 3 super, if you time it so the super hits them right before they land, it does 4000 extra damage, I guess because of grounded damage scaling or something.
Polymar assist can cheese the hell out of the other guy. Do it on wake up and dash through them as he starts kicking. If you’re quick you can actually cross them up 2-3 times while he’s kicking, and I also found that when going to cross up, if you press A while karas is inside the other guy, he’ll actually end up not crossing them up. Could be used to mess with people’s heads.
Oh and I dunno if this is better than the current best combos, but you can link from his charge move. Just let the first hit land, wait a moment, and then B them as you come out of recovery. You can follow it up with a combo, although the stun makes any hits knock them air born. You can usually get a good 13000 out of it though, which isn’t bad off a random 2B from like full screen.
Also Polymar into unblockable is really good. If you have a ton of red life, you can pretty much kill them when you baroque the unblockable.
Also for the wall slam on his overhead followup to his 3 hit charge string, you can actually dash across the screen and start a combo before they land. Dunno if anyone knew about that.

Nothing special, just something I haven’t seen anyone mention yet…
Extension Chain and it’s follow ups work normally (the chain staggers and naturally combos to it’s follow ups) on the giants; both follow ups combo into Kara’s Lvl 3 against PTX (forward does more damage), and the back throw follow up combos into the Lvl 3 against Lightan.
The forward follow up also combos into 623C for 9040 damage on both and leaves them in the corner which allows you to run away again. A lot of the giants moves are slow enough on start-up or recovery to allow you land the Chain.

Alright found some nice stuff.
Chain can be comboed from either side into the infinite. If you’re facing the wrong way, do 214C dash BC(2 hit) 46C2C 46B2C x infinity.
For the other side you can do chain into 236C 2BC(2hit) 46C2C 46B2C
With Ryu Assist, I found a good combo that does about 18k damage (23k if you do a baroque cancel). B 2B C (assist in between first and second hit of C) dash in A B 2B C 46B link into B 2B C 3C into air rave.
Alternatively, if you just want to combo into chain x infinite from a generic combo at any time, just baroque your 46B into chain for it to combo.
Oh and to combo a cross up ground dash A, just delay your B, he’ll turn around if you give him a sec and it’ll still combo.
Think I’ve got the infinite down. I got 120 reps of it earlier tonight, lol. Now I just gotta work it into a REAL MATCH. Much harder than just doing it in training mode.
Already doing infinite 100% in match anywhere on screen. Using same tactics Samurai said. If facing my corner been using 5c (assist that doesn’t knock down or stagger) to chain -> 43216 C/B extention -> 2B,2C -> start free rape. If no assist is avail use 5C baroque -> chain so it combos o_O. Also, punish ground bursts with baroque and continue rape.
P.S: most evil set up…pressure them in their corner and leave a hole to take a hit on purpose then burst them and infinite off burst by linking 2a or 2b…WTF this char is teh brokenz. Will try to have vids of us Queens nighaz raping. Our matches are quick as fuck. NY is gonna rape this game LOL

He’s the weakest character in the game. Believe me, he seems broken on offense but once he starts taking hits you realize why he has so much offensive capability. He’s the perfect example of “fair” if you ask me. Tons of offense, horrible defense. Makes sense
This. Everybody was whining about Karas in location tests until they realized that he dies like a horrible bitch. At this point, most of the cast has 100% combos on him, and the game’s not even that old. He’s REALLY fun to play because of how good his offense is but not broken by a long shot.
