YEAH, Who IS allowed? By your guys’s criteria Lyquid and Ben,my best friend Asa would never be allowed to come to hookups. As I recall, before he moved to TX, he was on the path to getting way better vs. everyone just using Dan and he didn?t even read a single post on SRK. Why? Because he was playing against GOOD comp at the hookups. He kept on coming in utter defiance of what was posted about ?serious? play. Like Axiom said awhile back, combo practice now, competition later.
Jon is right, I always have a blast at his hookups. And it?s all thanks to the relaxed atmosphere, shit talk, cutting up and carrying on. Stuff is still learned there too. Jspot?s Fuerte is the quite tricky to play against, Dionne?s Sagat has kicked my ass more than once and Kevin N?s Gouken makes me tear. There?s lots of talent there, they?re all good comp, and playing against them is why my Vega has improved so much.

Jspot: I made a request that if you come to axioms don’t bring a bunch of people. Clearly its not my hookup, Axiom will be the first to say anyone is invited. As long as everyone is there to play with some seriousness and learn, its fine with me. But clearly my preference is to have a smaller group of people focused on getting better.

i agree you need to go to hook ups with the mind set that you want to improve. if you are going to just mess around just to chill, hang out another day. dont do it on a hook up night. thats just mad disrespect.
im gonna side with ben ra since he’s my boy and known him longest, but branching out and playing the other folks from whatever KC will improve your gameplay in the long run.

i kinda agree with ben-ra on this one. but at the same time, i’d still go to axiom’s hookups. you gotta get what you can take if k.c.'s best player shows up, it should be more incentive to go and level up with him/them.
the reason there are cliques is because yall aren’t friends, lol. and if yall just don’t click, then there’s always gonna be cliques. usually “wanting to get better at the same game” is a good common ground to start a friendship as long as you’re chill, but for you guys, somethin got messed up along the way.
i don’t understand why yall don’t play against eachother more often. do you guys not learn from each other? like does kong not learn the boxer matchup against benra and vice versa? does benra not learn from playing axiom’s ryu and vice versa? etc. i don’t get it.
there’s just a certain expectation of skill some people have. like i expect to play against people who know block strings and don’t mash on DP in between every combo. if you meet those requirements, i’ll play you.
