Big ups to KC for throwing a chill tourney; there were times when things could have gone a bit smoother but sometimes it’s hard (esp. when Rex is playing in every tourney) but the venue was great and everybody was having a great time.
special shouts to Clay and John for runnin this thing, and Ben for takin me out in 4. That match was fire. Hopefully we’ll get a rematch at AR next week.

OK in the aftermath of MASH OUT here is some factual fuckin’ evidence -
There were a LOT of kc no shows, at least 5 people, probably more like 10. When I say no show, I don’t mean they said they would be there and didn’t, but really, why weren’t y’all there? You missed out on a great time, and the chance to face a lot of players/characters you’ve never seen before.
Kong is the King of kc sf4. Mad ups/props/whatever the kids are calling it these days, you made sure stl didn’t own us for “free.”
Axiom apparently needed more/better help running the tournament, and he needed to do it on a laptop so people didn’t fuck up the brackets. The venue was solid and pleasant enough, although juuuuust big enough for the turnout, if we’d had more it might have been rough.
KC needs to keep working hard (those of us who have been, the rest just show up at the tourneys please). We have a long way to go but we can put kc on the map. STL may very well be #1 in the midwest, and they’re not that far from us. Playing them can only make us better. We’ve also got Columbia, Joplin, and Wichita in the area, with Columbia having some really great players especially.
No, not on all tvs just a few brands. As long as you have HDMI it should be fine. You should be able to google what sets will lag.
What is fucking sweet is playing on a 1080p project with direct hdmi connection. It is the greatest

I had a great time, made lots of friends and now I know where I need to step up my game! Most people there were very nice and friendly. Kudos to Axiom for setting this up. I’ll definitely be attending more of these.

Yeah, definitely need a laptop for next time. John’s good with the pen and paper, but when it gets transferred over to someone else for a bit screwups are bound to happen.
