Forgot to give props to Tommy the drunken master. I know you weren’t mashing, I just felt like giving some shit back- can’t just sit there and take all the shit-talk I was receiving. Last night’s session makes me really want to learn Sol though (I think I want to learn a different character every other week lol). I’ll have to go up to Omaha with a notebook sometime.

Hello all, this is my first post to SRK, but this doesn’t mean I haven’t been in the scene.
I’ve been an avid fighting gamer for years, but really only started playing seriously when I moved here to KC. This was also hard for me, because there didn’t seem to BE a scene here. I have been mostly playing Tekken competitively, tournaments, travel and such, but at my apartment a few of us here locally get down on SFIII:3s, GGX2:S, KOFXI, SSB:M, Cvs2, etc etc…
I’m normally down for games, and given that the only arcades around here that even seem to have ANY kind of fighting games are Ameristar and Powerplay (I suck at marvel, but I’d go game wherever) Post up when you guys want to meet at any of those places…I actually live quite close to PP and would house a gathering for some players.
Nice to be on board, I hope I meet some of you before too long.

They drank most of the beer I bought, then left to go to the local strip joint. A girl that was supposed to hang out with me tonight changed her mind after five dudes took turns trying to get her to go along with them. Ugh.

MvC2 is our best game. A few of us do the GGXX Slash thing. No, he’s not “shawn” we have no idea who anyone named Shawn even is.
We have get togethers on random weekends at either my house or another guy here who goes by Treybonew. we both have huge-ass TVs. Trey lives up north by the Airport I live MUCH closer to Power Play, but just on the other side of the county line in KCK.
If I had seen this post earlier, I’d have posted sooner, since we played some Gear just tonight. Oh well. We’ll meet up some other time get some games in.

Axiom- I think I schooled your CPU clone a couple of times in Tekken. I’m sure playing you in person would be a little more difficult though. Also, I think we’ve had a couple of matches in Marvel- does Juggernaut/Sentinel/Ken ring a bell at all?
If not, I hope you have another gaming gathering soon anyway. Nothing wrong with having more Slash and 3S heads in town.

Hehe, probably, CPU clones are a joke… they don’t seem to play like their human counterpart at all. I don’t think so on the Marvel, I have probably played that game like 5 times total since Powerplay opened…I’m truly not a Marvel head.
I’d like to setup some kind of meet up thing with a few of you guys fairly soon. I’m getting tired of beating up on Novasonic all the time (Haha, Chris) He’s the guy I play with most around here.

YO YO wut up man… name is Martin… I live in Manhatten, Military is reason i’m down here…but yea the KC group are fun peeps…nicer than the usual east players i’m use too…which is where i’m from…but the KC group plays about almost anything…MvC2 tho i would say is there bread and butter and don’t let them lie to u… I on the other hand play all SF games… and been on KoF xi alot lately… THANK YOU TREY btw awsome game u gotta try it out…anyhow hopefully we can set up someshit TREY is usually the man to talk to…i’ll be in the field for the next 2weeks…but come Oct i’ll probably be up there, who knows maybe sooner…well gotta split peace out

The main one is Lisu and the top right one is the another Beatmania player. But ya, Lisu looks like he’s playing the piano and the other guy looks like he’s playing a video game. =D

The inset on that vid is of the same guy, but from a different angle. If you watch all the way to the end, you will see when the part comes up that he has to use his other hand on the keys. That still doesn’t take away from the fact that the guy is insane in that game.
