OMG!!! This game is 100X’s better from any previous DBZ game before it.
Although I never played it yet, I feel judging the book on it’s cover is highly appropriate for this game.
Last time there was a DBZ thread, suprisingly there was a lot of post. I hope that no-one has givin-up on this series…and I ask that if you have, you give this game a shot! Cause there definetely is more depth to this game.
Well let the Z-games begin!!!
Question on the floor:
Do you feel this game should debue at next years EVO tournament?
I think Goryus(sorry buddy if I spelt your name wrong) came up with the only advanced Budokai 1 combo videos, which btw are in video-opera.com, and he seems to know a lot about the engines. I think he can help you with the second game, too.
OMG what are you people talkin about. DBZ:B3 (since I bought it yesterday) is brilliant!!! It has more depth then you can imagine! Especially when you compare it to all the previous DBZ games. Fun level is quite high, yes! But in terms of depth… I say it equals games like MK6 and SC1/2 (your Rock, Paper, Siccors games!!!). And those two games are not bad at all!
But lets talk about DBZ:B2 real quick. I believe that Android 17 was supposed to be top teir. Along with Goku, Frieza, Gohan (adult)…hell anyone with a good side step cancel! I never played Android 17 though.
Cancels are the prime source into linking moves, throws, and super Ki attacks together. Something that all characters can do.
But the ones mentioned earlier just have more options than others.
To side step cancel (SSC) pursue a combo that has a guard crush (GC). As soon as you see the lovely blue light flash then hold that button and then press d/u and guard at the same time to side step cancel. If you’re familar with certian combos then you won’t need to wait for the GC light just do the SSC like right away. You can also cancel the GC with throws, another set of combos, and special attacks (as I said earlier).
Oh yeah transforming during SSC or Guard Crush Cancels (GCC) is very good, not only do you get the stun, but you inflict minor damage to de opponet. Not bad huh!
Well that’s all I have to say. If someone wants to follow up on that, then please do!
Somebody pintch me, cause you actually can fly manually! Reguardless if you’re both are on the ground at the same time or not, tap ub twice and then hold it to fly up in the air. Once in the air you can either side step. Or fly back down. To do that tap db twice and then hold it. If the opponet is on the ground and you’re in the air…and you try to fly towards your opponet, then you will fly downward and towards them.
This is the best way to doge all types of attacks. And everyone can do it. I found this out playing as Omega Shenron vs. Kid Goku in vs. Mode.
I now wonder if you could’ve did this (fly manually) in DBZ: B2/1. And if I’m the first one to figure this out period!
While I play this game more and more, I realize how much depth is really here.
No offense, but that post makes you sound like a 12 year old fanboy (something you don’t wanna look like around here). Personally, I’ve had more fun with the Super Butoden series. You didn’t have to do rediculous HOURS of leveling up to actually be a threat, or get all your moves. Needing to do crap like that makes it feel more like a child-appeasal game (keeps little Tyler and Nathan busy and out of trouble, moms!) rather than an actual fighter, you know? Back to Buku Tougeki…
