Damn I got owned by some guy posing as Rock Lee (he wasn’t Rock Lee apparently). Oh well, it’s still funny how I beat alot of these SFA3 players when I only play the game once a month…but this guy was good (Quinton?)
I wish to learn the ways of Capcom fighters, i’m primarily an SNK player. Anyone who wants to whoop my butt at A3 can find me on AIM.
If you’re already an SNK player (especially koF2k2), I suggest you stay away from Capcom. 
KoF2k2 owns Alpha 3.

I prefer '98 over 2k2, and I don’t see why I have to should stick to SNK and not learn anything about Capcom games. Both companies have something good to offer, and both companies have very different styles. I really don’t like it when people hate on either company. What I see of A3 so far is good, so i’m gonna try to learn it. Maybe later i’ll try and pick up Super Turbo, but at the moment that game owns me hardcore, >_>.

Odd, it seems you have been re-deleted again somehow…I did get some weird message from AIM today that some of my info was not saved (how and why, I don’t know). 
I just noticed playing last night…why does my shit sodom does better against gief than my gen? I’m pretty sure if I cloned myself and let us duke it out over these two chars, my gen would win. What’s the advantage ratio of sodom to gief compared to gen?

Sodom vs. Gief is 7-3 or 8-2 because of that one move you already know how to abuse, b+hp :devil:
Gen CAN abuse max range ppp style j. hp against gief because it beats non-VC’d lariat

Yeah, I was watching how b.hp is pretty effective against gief. Tho, I used that move much like I use fireball; that move have a strong horizontal hit, but damn useless as an anti-air and against low hitting moves.
The problem with Gen’s KKK style (not PPP’s j.hp, that move sucks!!) j.hp is that you can counter it by either the knee or the j.lk, not to mention you can simply block and throw with lp atomic.
Also, Gen doesn’t have an effective way of defeating zang’s j.hp at max range (countering the knee w/ dp.k is a gamble since if its blocked, you get grabbed.)
Sodom’s b+hp is the perfect anti-air to gief. It beats all of Gief’s stupid jump attacks like j. hp, splash, any of the knees, etc.
About Gen’s kkk style j. hp, maybe its because its kal-gheyness but I have so many problems retalitaing against that move meaty, and at max range. I really doubt its spdable after blocking it, and its impsosible to retalitate to meaty j. hp with a jump move, and after blocking it, gief has had to block multiple strings of it since he has no reliable standing anti-air. That kid, cant remember his name but he played gen a while back, basically his game revolved around j. hp and air-throw and being that his connection sucked major ass, he could abuse that and I’m sure the lag wouldn’t have made a difference as Gen’s air-throw owns up Gief when he’s going for a retaliator jump move
