I landed a new job and there was no way I was going to get the days off for FR8… No FL a3 players represented I think (Nelson, Big 5, Alex N).

I dont have anything against shotos. The only thing that annoys me is that most of the people I play in a3 are no names that do “shoto rotations”. Start with Ken, lose. Next is Ryu, lose. Then Akuma, lose. (and not necessarily in that order) Wash, rinse, and repeat.
I could careless either way, but if you’re going to lose with Ken, chances are you’re going to lose with Ryu and Akuma as well. Especially, if you play them all the same. Jumping hurricanes, random supers, and only with akuma do you play keep away air fireballs thinking you know what you’re doing. Then they get so nervous after losing several matches, that they begin doing repeated dp motions trying to guess I’ll move in. They become so nervous, a super comes out or they get confused and allow me to hit them.
I would rather play someone using ken (or one of the other 2) the entire game, (win or lose) than play someone who picks and loses with all 3 of them.
Hmm, yeah, that also bothers me quite a bit. Usually, the noob start out using ken or ryu, gets beat and start using Akuma. Infact, anyone who simply rely on a same set of moves over and over without any involvement of skill bothers me. Those games are boring as hell, and I get nothing out of it.
Idiots tend to like to justify their idiocy by calling their so called play style ‘strategic’, but the truth is, they are simple repetition. You show a chimp how to piss on the toilet a 100 times, I’d bet you 100 bucks he’d piss on the toilet the 101th time.

Aight, lemme restate what I’ve said. I don’t give a shit whether its shoto or boxing or whatever the fuck it is. Ppl that do the same thing over and over (jumping back and forth with j.lk, for example) is boring as hell. I don’t give a damn if that’s a ‘strategy’, its boring!!
It bothers me even more if they suck at it.
I’ll have to get in on this shit at some point…I’ll post up later after I install some shit.
