Good stuff, 9999!
Forgive me for bringing this up if you already know, but you seem to be jumping a lot with Tizok instead of getting the throw you want. Did you know you only need 270* input? (not 360*)
I also think a lot of people get into the habit of backdashing too much. A lot of times with Tizok, it would do you better to hold your ground, guard low so you don’t back up, and either short jump forward or straight up instead of backdashing.
I’d also like to see you find some more setups for f+LP instead of only after a reset. You never miss the combo off of it, so it’s like ultra huge guaranteed damage. And if they block it, you got a frame advantage. Short jump attacks work as well to combo into Brake DP.
I’d like to see this thread used to critique matches so I thought I’d start it off!
Yeah Kicks I know about the 270, I always go forward-down-back-up + punch. I dont know if its my controller or adapter or what thats making me jump, cause in every other game I play I can do 360’s spot on.
Thanks for the input though, Im always up for constructive critism
Yeah critique my matches with fernan! LOL!
Me vs Kyokuji (A3)
A-Chun vs V-Cody matches.

After qcb+P lands with Cody, is there a mixup or anything if they tech? Like qcf+HK or air throw?
One match, Kyokuji had a little bit of V-meter left and used a stone on wakeup, the second stone (cause of the Vism) was a great pressure tool. Sorta basic, but it struck me as being really awesome and good form in utilizing everything to the max.
I’m pretty ignorant with the input recordings and viewing them.
Which program do I use to watch these files after I download them? And how?
emulators have an option in the menu “playback input”
I snooped around before I asked, so I tried that option already.
An error always popped up for me saying the file was invalid or something. shrug. I figured I wasn’t using the right program or something. No idea what’s wrong? You just select the file you downloaded from the playback input, right?
Make sure youre using mame.64 and that you play the input by going to “playback kaillera input” not just “playback input”. You need to extract both files (inp and trc) from the zip or rar.
Totally didn’t extract the files first. My mistake.
Thanks chib-chibs.

Nice replays. At first I thought that shadowlaw kid was decent, but after 2 matches I 100% understood his style (and I don’t play a3). Goes something like this…spam a random lvl 3 super with any char. Jump back and throw a 1 hitter of choice at you (no combos). Get knocked down…do anything but block on wakeup. Teleport, super, d+jab, backflip…anything but block. Then build up some meter for another random super and eat some crossup lk into lightning kick goodness. Did I miss anything?
:annoy: Why chibi why! You gotta give people a warning when you wanna post replays. I dont want people to see how bad i suck in a3
I could post all the a3 games I have, but I try to avoid hosting every one-sided game where I’m winning all the time. Now I just record games with srk members and players I know are decent.
I think my best a3 inputs are with lucky and kyokuji, they are fun to watch and I don’t win all the time. Those three are actually the only decent a3 games I’ve had over a period of time. Hopefully, I’ll run into “ks” again soon because hes also fun to play. Litany is in training with v-sak (you can tell by her slow reaction spd), but I think its a good input to watch if you want to see chun played w/skill and not by consistently abusing meaty attacks and df+rh. That cr. lk x3 + cr.mk block string makes for nice setups and chips guard meter.
Here’s another a3 I forgot to put up:

Thx for watching.
Bah, I’m ashamed of that input. Didn’t notice it here until now.
That was when I was still using VC2, missing half my VC’s, not doing the hop kick cross-up thing right(or even using it much at all), and you can tell I don’t know how to AA VC, corner trap, punish, zone, or take advange of the dodge properly yet.
I don’t play anything like that anymore.
Watching me fight Chun’ is totally different from the way I fight everyone else though. She’s the only one I can’t anti-air from the ground, and most of her normals stuff/out range mine, so I usually end up being very defensive around her.
