kalleria is dieing because of 99% of scrubs,plain and simple.
Tell me exactly how “scrubs” are killing kaillera and what 99% of them on kaillera do to negativly effect the scene. Please for every one here on this thread, and those just browings by to read. Tell us in what shape way or forum kaillera having 99% of scrubs on it is a factor to it dying as it is today…
well, dude is completely right. here’s one of the biggest issues i have with kaillera… these scrubs on kaillera are retarded and some of them have been on there for years and still haven’t learned shit, they’re still the same level, instead of trying to get better they just whine and complain about infs, duos, you name it which in turn makes the top players not wanna play with any of the “unknowns”. i thrive on good competition, if you suck, i really don’t wanna play with you.
it makes us stick to our own little circle basically… i really only play with the top players(vice, dc, mag etc) or decent people(vivi, king etc) in mvc. if more people were better we’d be playing with a wider variety of people. i pretty much stopped playing xvsf because the level of competition just keep getting worse and there was no one left to play but it’s kinda on the rise again so i’ve been playing a little.
also i wish some of these good so called top offline mvc/xvsf players would come on kaillera. kaillera lag is entirely over exaggerated by people. the godweapon server owns enough to have pretty much arcade perfect matches, the only way there’s gonna be lag is if your connection is shit or you’re downloading/uploading or your computer sucks… you’ll get delay if you lived some place like cali but daroms is good for westcoast and eastcoast players to play against each other.
also part of why kaillera is dying is because theres no new games to play, a lot of ppl just want their mvc2, 3s, and cvs2… it doesn’t really matter much anymore though, kaillera is done once nulldc netplay fixes the input skipping issue or the nulldc team implements kaillera(gonna be talking to raz about that even though he hates kaillera). only way it can come back is once they have working cps3 emulation for mame. only then will you see a huge uprise of new players on kaillera.
Pretty much the same with me…generally the only time I play kof now is when people message me for some games, otherwise the competition is rediculously bad. Most of the kof scrubs on kaillera care more about the storyline than the gameplay, they’ve been playing for years and haven’t learned anything. There are a few good chinese players on there, and very few good mexicans (most of which lag).

But the thing is, they don’t like delay. ONce you’ve played in the arcade, going on kaillera with sticks is just not happening…

Yp, most of the people I be playing with (dark renagade, Shiro420) is on priv servers. I got alot of people wanting to play up on kaillera, but I aint about to play some niggas who acting like they dont need ot play a scrub. Shiiet

yeah, ok the lag is slightly overrated, but it’s bad enough to where deteriorates to something FAR from arcade perfect. I’ve bitched over and over about activation, but lets forget missing an Anti-air VC, or failing dragon punching on reaction for a second, you can’t even get a damn stand fierce 80% of the time (ain’t that right suleman :lovin:).
This is why better players don’t come. I haven’t played marvel since '03 but I know spiderman isn’t good like he is online off it. In a3 for example, I can do [media=youtube]HylGnIdrMlg"[/media] in my sleep, but the moment I click the “enter kaillera” option they don’t work (for me) because fierce scrape in VC1 once you activate, hits according to character specifics and distance (once vs cody twice vs sagat in the vid for example, randomly against rose,charlie). to use it properly, you NEED a lag free environment to be able to adjust your vc accordingly, especially since it has something like a 14 frame startup. kaillera doesn’t provide that.
Tell me, if you know how to play or are a top player, but the lag is so bad it throws your game off, the other guy can only j.fierce, jab shoryu spam, autofire 19 hit lv1 shinryu and run away with ken manages to win and to top it off then talks shit. would you really want to come here to play?

haha, ok what’s the url again? i didn’t have internet from December to May so i think I lost it
it was with a differnt person who was from florida. most of our games were lag free for him but sometimes it would start button delaying for him so we just restarted the game and everytime it would get bad on his end(which was hardly ever according to him) we would reset the game. He’s on srk so when I see him i will tell him to give input of our experince on my server.
another factor that contributes to lag or delay is the keyboard/controller/stick your using.
I just hooked up my new keyboard and sucks compared to my old one.
whenver I go on kaillera I always plug in my old keyboard to play.
yes lag is very exaggerated especially when a person complains about lag then when he/she wins around they dont say shit about lag.
back on topic. yes lets stop being assholes and help a newb when a newb needs help.
even in game when they suck. just keep playing with them and give them pointers and encourage them. Theyl be back. :lovin:

About this…let’s see. Generally some people don’t complain about lag when they win because in the end they just care about the win. If lag affects them winning, then they complain.
At the same time, I complain about lag even if I ocv the guy or perfect him…but then I’m considered a “bad guy” with way too high standards for myself (and thus elitist) if I win that easily and still complain that my performance was poor.
So it seems whichever I choose, I look bad.

The top players on kaillera be rejecting the shit outta noobs even if they just joined the game and said hey. What made me stick around long enough to even learn how to air combo was Prozac, shadow1500, kic , sid etc…When i was new they showed mad love none of that, “oh your a scrub, i can tell by ur name.” or “ur a random noob why are u in my game.” The point im tryna make is, people who have are good, should take the time out and help the noobies instead of bashing them all the time. Maybe that will prevent dickheads like Rice, SinisterCow and others.
Thats the main problem, level of gameplay isnt going up because of the constant bashing. How can u expect it to go up, when the scrubs dont even get an opportunity to even play some1 good?
Thats the thing they CANT play any1 good because if they even try to oppose they will get crucified for even trying.

I complain about lag when I win too and offer to go to another server but thats not what im going at.
they complain and whine about lag when they lose really bad.
and then when they win they dont even mention lag.

Alright so I played on private server with lw3, It was going pretty well except for a few occasional disconnects, hes in texas and i’m in florida so the connection was good. The supraclient got rid of the button delay problem I was having, I use a HRAP with a ps2 to pc adapter.
Now to the point, there was no lag. I have mostly played online gaming since not much competition around where I live, I played kaillera about a year and a half ago and just started back up yesterday. Most people that join my games usually play me 5 matches, abuse the lag, act like a god and than leave.
I mean if you want to think of me as your average player, than your right. I don’t know many people and when I start up kaillera I just create a game and hope someone actually joins. Sometimes I wait for maybe an hour and than just give up or when someone finally joins I get very few matches, they claim there godly and than leave. Nothing like having someone going for a crossup and watching my character walk foward as im holding back, thanks to delay. It reminds me of why I stopped playing over a year ago.
This is what kills kaillera for me and online fighting games in general. Private server did help get rid of the lag problem and since you have to actually contact someone to do this its less likely they will be an ass. I think there is alot of potential for kaillera, and with actually being able to play online with no lag on a private server gives me hope for online fighting games.
