Good question. And are you taking sign ups now? I think it would be better, as Bedfast suggested in his topic, that you make sign ups an hour or so before the tourney itself so that way most of the people should be ready to go for the tournament since some people who sign up now might not be able to make it.

psycho - go to efnet, a window should pop up, and type in #srkkaillera in the box and it should bring you to the server everyone is on. took me a while to figure out too.

If this is really happening, sign me up.
Although I will say this: The brackets for this tourney should be made on the spot, i.e. at a certain time you should say “sign ups are over” and make brackets based on how many people are in the IRC.
This has never been done in past tourneys, and what happens is 1/4 of the people never even show up, and there end up being a shitload of byes.
I’m glad that p2p is gonna be the standard for this tourney, and that there’s a ping limit.

Hamachi is this program that lets you join/make hamachi servers, and two people that are both on a hamachi server get treated as if they’re on a LAN (you can both host.)
Can we please make this tourney happen a little earlier on Sunday? How about 7 PM instead of 9? Tourneys run for a while, and I have to wake up early on Mondays ( I can’t be the only one). Why don’t we make it saturday?

doesn’t work on closed network servers that do not have access to port forwarding. They don’t give hamachi access to the necessary information. I know this because i tried using it and it didn’t work with 4 diff people.

I’m going to have to postpone this tournament. My controller broke a couple days back and I can’t get a replacement in time. If someone else cares to direct they’re welcome to but I’d rather pass on running a tournament I can’t even go two and out in.
