With money come politics, thats just the way it goes. What ever happened to good ol’ bragging rights? Playing for respect and all that? 10k for a best of 7 is alot of money lol. Just shows where gaming is going in the future. Just think if something like this did actually happen, mlg would catch wind of it and try to capitalize off it.
Pro gaming is a myth. Sure some people get paid and its a nice way to make a quick dollar, but its not a financially sustainable livelihood. Plus their is no retirement plan.

I thought that company’s that would sponser a so-called athlet didn’t want them betting, looks bad for the sponser. Use the money to pay for a representive from the company you want to sponser you to come to evo this year so they can see how badass it is, and how they can make money there too. Betting is just for the SF fan base. No-one else will care. Use the money for some of those asian girls that are at comic con, have them walking around and shit. Make team shirts and have a 5 on 5 or something. Theres a bunch of better ways to gain attention then betting. Betting is just for the fans, if you want to really outsource you will think of a bunch of better things to do with the money.
