i think its fine if jwong doesnt want to play unless both coasts can pony up 10k, but seriously, who is going to bet a month, a week, HELL, even a day before the match? last time i bet, it was the day of the event.
its cool if jwong wants to say no to the match if his stipulation isnt met, but its fucked up in a way. this big screen attraction is beneficial to evo and thats what it comes down to, evo being the dopest tournament in the US. theres obvious hype for this match and everyone wants to see it go down in a ft7 for some serious bragging and trash talking for every coast to enjoy but if jwong really doesnt want to play unless its for 10k, then oh well. its his choice and its not like any amount of keyboard commanding will change his mind.
still a fucked up decision imo if he does decline this match; prob would have been a great place to look for another one of those evo moments.

I know the word “exploit” carries a negative connotation, but when you put a player on the big screen, and use it as a marketing tool to get players to come to your event, that’s what it is.
Call it what you will, but their image, their efforts, etc. are being used to promote Evo.
That’s not to say it’s a bad thing, but to suggest that Justin is wrong for looking to get paid for it is ridiculous.

Ya like they honestly think that “hey if we use justin in this match we can sucker more ppl into showing up”. Thats almost laughable when you look at how much the evo staff has done FOR US. This isn;'t about bottom lines or more crowds, it’s about bringing exciting events that get people pumped and talking about evo, for crying out loud it didn;t ave to get all complicated and political.
