I agree with were you are coming from, but be clear Valle has been playing the game since launch. It is not a game that he is “not” playing.
It seems kind of odd that you accepted MM in TVC, SFIV, MVC2 for $100 but need $10,000 to play Valle.

I could be wrong but the way I understood: he accepts the match regardless of money, but under 10k means it won’t be on the big screen (therefore won’t be an official event).
But then again my reading comprehension isn’t what it used to be.

I accepted those MM because those are regular MM which is like 2 out of 3, 3 out of 5 and they won’t go that high because people won’t sidebet it unless your a big known player. Those MM’s also won’t be on the big screen at EVO.
A lot of people been playing SF4 when it launched, but hasn’t done shit to be recognized in the community. But that will still be an excuse people would use, if Valle loses to me.
10k or NOT. Usually these type of matches will prove something for pride, respect, and what not. So if you want to try to take advantage of that type of status from me, then I gotta take advantage from niggas pockets.

How so? Everybody is mad hype over this. All of this build up has to climax at some point; Yet another reason to look forward to this year’s Evo. I do understand Wong’s point about him having the most to lose; people just love to hate on whoever’s on the throne, but then again, being as confident about his skills as he is, why would he NEED 10k as a motivation to play a set? Does he actually recognize Valle’s skill and uses the money as a scapegoat? Because that’s how it looks to me. He played Daigo at GS’ tourney and there again, he had no reason to play the guy, and while it is true that he couldn’t have just pulled out, I’m sure nobody had to pep talk the guy into playing the Beast; Wong himself was curious about how he would do.
Any other guy on that list you’ve made wouldn’t have had the stakes up that high; hell, grudge matches can be all about respect and acknowledgment. Why is it that there has yet to be any talk about money concerning the Gauntlet? Will Wong ask 10k off every single challenger to make it happen? Like EdMa has stated, we really don’t know who the best player in the US is. Wong has the credz but Evo will set the record straight. Hence why, taking that into account, I don’t really see Wong’s demands as justified. If he won Evo, of course I’d back him up, but for now, he along with quite a handful of other players in the States still DO have to prove themselves, against each other AND Japan…

Seems like people dont understand what justin meant by instant recognition. Valle is good at the older games which he is already recognized for… but for sf4 he hasnt been doing much other than his secret training or whatever. Beating Justin, the “US Champ” will get him instant recognition for STREET FIGHTER 4. If Justin wins, it would just be a normal win against a good WC player. That is the point hes trying to make.
I’m sure valle and alot of the other top wc AND ec players are around the same level, thats why i think Justin vs the top 10 US players would be a better idea.
But personally i’d like to see sabin vs valle… EC’s best sim/seth vs WC’s best ryu… (assuming hes got the best ryu in wc)
