It would be hype if it happened like, this weekend, or back at gamestop, but at evo? thats way too late, why should anyone care other than same people that will bet on who can cross the street first or coin flips?
Noone is stepping up specifically for this event, they could both not play SF4 between now and evo and the same people would buy into it. Justin accepted it in his sleep, Valle is playing SF4 in secret, it’s interesting to see what would happen if they met in tournament, thats about as far as i’ll go on it.
I understand a lot of you guys have your doubts about my SF4 game.
Very understandable.
I’m at a level in SF where it doesn’t take me a lot of practicing to catch up or even to hang.
Only a handful of people in this country have the ability to not touch a game 2-4 weeks prior to a major tournament and still make top 8 which I do every year at EVO.
This is not the case for me with SF4.
Just because I haven’t entered many tourneys doesn’t mean I’m not playing.

I’ve been playing with So.Cali’s finest players has to offer and we are all leveling up big time.
Or, you can ask them yourself =)
Most of AI’s finest players attended this tournament.

When people have this kind of conversation i cant stop my brain from doing the comparison between old school and the new kids.Specially puting the most legendary players against the newest and worl champion justin wong.
The first National Tournament happenes 11 years ago where allex valle had to face daigo (who beat over 10 000 people to get that crown). Daigo barely won against allex valle .
At the time allex valle show the caliber of american players at the time and bot were rewarded for it.
now 10 years later daigo came over not as a champion but as a random player who was broght to create hype in the crowd, . Justin wong couldnt touch daigo .
All tha brings me to the next conclusion.
U.s. has been getting worse and worse as time goes on. At the time when allex valle was barrely defeated there was NO youtube, blog, ranbat, webpages or anyt shit that help people to improve.
