I know the guy that beat him, used to play MVC2 at my local arcade. He was one of those players that was a huge step above everyone else.
It didn’t matter how much you practiced your game or proficient you thought you were. When he stepped up to the machine it was simply time to stop playing lol. 'lest you wanted to suffer soul-crushing defeat after crushing defeat.
This one time in particular i was being stubbornn and insisted on playing him even though i knew i had no chance. After about 14 straight losses i finally got lucky and scored a win(doom lasers on his sentinel). Didn’t happen very often.
you must be from Louisiana then, hes my friend …lol
I was wondering who he lost to.
You wouldn’t happen to have the whole match recorded, would you?
Yup he was pretty badass in MVC2. There were times when i’d wake up, go to the arcade and just be on FIRE, like the alignment of the stars was in my favor that day, playing at my best, long win streaks, etc.
As soon as he showed up I was already defeated lol. Unlike the rest of us he didn’t seem to have any mindgames or tricks in his strategy. It was just pure precision and skill.
That arcade scene is dead now. All the good players moved on and the machines are poorly maintained to say the least.
~ ahhhhhh memories
That’s pretty legendary yo.
Nothing wrong with MVC3, besides the scrubby hard knockdown mechanic. No one ever has to work to score an OTG anymore, it comes FREE off every purchase of a basic ABC combo
Otherwise its a worthy sequel.
It has its other issues but that is by far the worst. Name any devastating TOD combo in the game, they all revolve around repeat, guaranteed OTGs that the opponent can’t roll out of.
Taking away this mechanic would fix a lot of the cheese. X-factor is a newb complaint by comparison.
This shit has me dying lmfao
truly a unique magneto
no combos lol
just dry ass bitchout play
wonder how many time outs hes gotten throughout his career…
The video was worth watching if only for the sadface Justin at the end.
Moving to the Video Gallery, as otherwise it would go in the (U)MvC3 forum.
Nah, he’s got combos. But he’s also familiar with how to play Wolverine and Iron Fist isn’t any different… he has no qualms with sitting back and spamming disruptor + assist until you make him go in. One of the few people in LA who consistently beat me in Vanilla because Wolverine couldn’t do much against it.
Yeah the video was killing me at how funny it was, Justin wongs face was priceless
